Candy Land Slots
Sweets and the slots often make for the perfect combination, with certain developers jumping all over this theme. Zeus Play seem to have perfected that combination through their latest release, which is aptly titled Candy Land.
Not to be confused with the popular board game of the same name or with it's sister slot Cherry's Land, Candy Land is a video slots game that has been shaped after candies and sugary treats. Candy Land is a really simple to play game with an attractive interface, which is sure to catch the attention of the players by giving them something that at least looks out of the ordinary. Like most of the video slot online casino game titles from Zeus Play, Candy Land is proving to be super popular with a lot of players.
Considering that it is bright, bubbly, and offers some attractive prizes, plenty is expected of this game, but does it deliver the sweet slots experiences it promises?
Sweet like chocolate
The layout of the Candy Land is simple, attractive, colorful, and effortlessly easy to understand. The game has been designed by keeping reactiveness at the fore, with different colours working to grab a player’s attention from the outset. The game includes 10 paylines, which are adjustable according to the preferences of the player. The pattern of these winning lines can be seen with via the in-game help option, which is represented with a “?” symbol in the bottom left corner of the screen.
The game has 5 reels, of which all contain the symbols of the sweet variety, with cakes very much being the pick of the bunch. There is also a betting option available that immediately ensures that the max bet is placed. For example, if a player has selected 5 paylines and wants to bet 5 coins per line, he will be betting 25 coins per play, simply by clicking “Max Bet” this can be done.
The “Play” button in the bottom right corner of the screen is pretty self explanatory, as it starts the reels spinning. Overall, the design of Candy Land is notoriously sweet, with its functionality being doubly so.
Icing on the cake
The gameplay of the Candy Land is pretty safe in the grand scheme of things, as it certainly doesn’t venture too far off the beaten track. The first and foremost task that the player faces is the acquisitions of coins, as they are a must for funding every game. After the coins have been obtained, the players can select their desired number of paylines to activate.
After the player has put their desired stakes on the line, they can press the play button in order to start the game. The game will then rotate the reels and will present the player with a combination of different symbols per reel. If any of the same symbols create a winning combination within an active payline, the player will win a specific amount of coins.
Following on from this there is the traditional Zeus Play ‘Gamble Feature’. The card game consists of guessing the colour of the cards that will be drawn next from a digital deck. If the player wins they double their earnings, but if they lose they will see such money slip away. In a side note, Candy Land also makes an “AutoPlay” feature available, which is perfect for those who don’t fancy playing manually.
Bitter aftertaste
Sadly, Candy Kane does not come with any real bonus features of note. It seems that Zeus Play quite controversially has omitted any added extras, meaning that players are solely relying on the base game experience for entertainment. In any case, Candy Land probably could have done with a little more in the bonus stakes, as it does lack that little extra pizzazz at moments.
Take a stroll down candy cane lane
Candy Land is a simple yet engaging slots game, as it really does its best to entertain with the features that it has. Despite its plainness within some areas, the game is actually fun to play and will be suited to those who just want to experience an old school style slots title. While it is not one of the most attractive and best gaming titles produced by Zeus Play, it is also not one of their worst releases either. When it comes down to it, Candy Land as a game is middle of the road, but it is middle of the road in the best way possible.
