Vegas Hot Slot Machine
After loading up Vegas Hot from Wazdan, it’s not hard to understand why they decided to make a second slot with the same title, sprucing it up and padding it out; Vegas Hot is one humble slot machine. There’s nothing wrong with being so unassuming, but it will undoubtedly put a lot of potential players off when being greeted by a wall of retro gaming that looks like it’s clawed its way from the mid 80s.
We will say this though, the original slot has a lot more going on than the sequel, like the multiplier walls that can show up at the drop of a hat. Granted that’s countered by the 5 winlines instead of 81, but sometimes less really is more when gaming.
For those of you who’ve done as we have and played them backwards, starting with the second activity first, don’t worry about them looking totally different - they’re very similar and will soon have us feeling right at home. And should you actually be looking for a change of pace, you can also get that with Vegas Hot too for it’s distinctive from its sibling and yet remarkably similar. Wazdan has some serious wizardry going off at the HQ.
Kaleidoscope
The background looks so good that we almost forgot about the reels, choosing to focus instead on the subtle rotations of the purple and orange ombre kaleidoscope of patterns. It’s one heady trip - did we say this is like the 80s, we definitely meant to say the 60s. Making the whole scene a lot more in-keeping with the idea of Las Vegas, the neon colours of the title light up the top half of the screen.
As for the music, well that just adds the finishing touch, with its low beat sleazy bar vibes and cheesy disco numbers. All we have to say to those that hate the sound of this: don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. But if you really hate it, you can tap the mute button and set your own tempo.
Oh, What a Night
Just as when you’re on the Vegas Strip, your night is going to be a hell of a lot more exciting when playing online slots with real money, which is why so many of you will bite the bullet and ditch the demo. Demo modes are good for testing the waters, but there’s nothing like playing the real thing.
As is customary with Wazdan titles, the betting range begins at 0.10 and ends at 100 credits; this allows a lot of gamers to spread their wings or gently soar towards the progressive jackpot. Sometimes accessibility can be hard to find in good slot machines, but that won’t ever happen with a Wazdan slot machine, they’ll always make sure everyone has a chance of playing.
What is more, their prizes don’t increase if the bet does, which is great for those of us who are on tight budgets and desperately trying to keep our accounts above board. Granted it’ll irk the players who speed off to the top, but that’s the uncertainty that casino games come with.
In addition to the usual interface, there’s a Gamble Feature that will open up when a win is made, offering you the chance to double your bet or lose it forever. Undoubtedly most of you will have played this exact mini level or one similar, but just in case here are the basics. Pick which colour you think the card will be and wait to see if you’re right, if you are you move onto the next round, if not you lose and return to the grid.
Multipliers Galore
Wazdan don’t do many special features, for whatever reason they tend to offer one or none, but when there’s one involved with their games, you can bet it’s a good ‘un. With Vegas Hot the format is very simple: a 3x3 grid inside the main grid needs to be made, consisting of the bell, the orange, lemon and blueberry.
When players achieve this, a multiplier will be applied to the wins that happened during that round. None of us know how much of a multiplier will be applied to the final kitty, but it’ll probably be around the x2 or x3 mark.
