Drunken Vikings Slots
Certain genres come in and out of fashion, much like our clothes, one minute something is hot and the next it’s not. Sometimes though, a specific genre can stand the test of time and maintain a steady interest no matter what, Vikings are a prime example of this.
Vikings on their own can be oodles of fun, but drunk ones and a party gets started (quite literally); they’ll tear up the dance floor with their fur covered boots, their weapons cast to one side as they throw some shapes. Don’t believe us? Why not attend your very own Viking party and see for yourself? It will blow you away.
Drunken Vikings has 5 reels and 3 rows to play on, with up to 15 paylines with which you can discover combos, the higher the volume of combinations you create, the better your chances of winning. And what a prize you can take home, with €10,000 the maximum amount no matter your bet.
Let’s Meet the Gang
A lot of faces are going to be introduced to you, so if you’re rubbish at remembering names, you need to at least be able to recall faces. Though not every tile has a face, with the lowest tier of symbols consisting of card suits and values, such as A, K, Q, J and 10.
Despite them looking less than mighty, unlike their fellow Vikings, they actually have a good payout value of between 10 and 250 credits, with A coming out on top. However, compare them to the middle tier of symbols and these rewards seem quite tiny; the Viking with a tash and the barrel guzzling guy are priced at x5 to x1,000.
Then you have the upper tier, exclusive to only the most special of icons, those of which are Thor, a longboat and two attractive young ladies. Holding beer. Yes, the last two icons sound the most intriguing, but let’s look at the others first. Thor acts as the wild, though how he can swing that hammer with so much cushioning around his middle is beyond us. Next you have the longboat, which can give out either 5, 10 or 15 free rounds as well as a x2 multiplier.
Wenches With Beer
You’ve probably guessed it all by yourselves, but the ladies of the game are the bonus symbols, and they are both expanding ones, meaning they dominate a whole reel. You need both of them to show up at the same time, in a specific position, and so triggering the level is tedious. But should you achieve acceptance into the bonus realm, then you shall need to supply plenty of drinks to your fellow Vikings until they pass out.
There are five rounds of this, and every beer you give them can have a different outcome, such as a Viking losing a fight or throwing a glass at another partygoer. We won’t highlight the finer details, but it’s mad fun.
Bring Party Snacks
If you can’t bring snacks, bring cash. Players have a betting configuration that starts at 0.05 and ends when the total of 2 credits is reached, though any value in between these two sums is also okay.
Should you not want to play around with the wager you place, you can always alter the winlines instead, of which there are 15. Even though it’s recommended not to reduce them, it’s ultimately your decision, just don’t be grumpy when you don’t get as many wins as your friends.
So far everything is very mundane, which is probably why Tom Horn included a gamble feature; we expected a similar format to what we’ve seen before, but we got something totally new. It’s still a guessing game, but you have to decide which of the two women from the bonus round is holding the full pint of beer; how very Viking.
Sober Up and Do It All Again
Much like any good time, you’ll get up, sober up and then repeat the process, and there’s nothing wrong with doing that, especially when you can avoid a hangover. Drunken Vikings is a class act from Tom Horn, one of their stand out activities that has individuality instead of conforming. Five out of five stars seems more than fair enough for this gaming experience.
