Super Pachinko Plus Casino Games

Patagonia Entertainment has made plenty of different bingo games, all of which are based on the same basic framework. As their games have begun to become more advanced in design and structure, the names have become more elaborate as well, suggesting grander and more engaging packages.

One of the latest examples of this is Super Pachinko Plus, a game that ramps up the theme and graphic design to a new level. The gameplay isn’t all that different from some of the company’s other games, but it does offer many of the more interesting elements we’ve seen before. In total, that makes for one of the more engaging products in the Patagonia lineup, one we think many bingo players will want to give a try.

Tea and Bingo

The first thing that will jump out at you when you try Super Pachinko + is the art. Most games from Patagonia use a very simple artistic style: a couple of colors in an attractive but somewhat bland style. That’s thrown out the window here, as you’ll see a painted background depicting a traditional Japanese tea room, featuring a variety of colors and art (including the cats that have become a standby of the Pachinko line of games). It’s a true feast for the eyes, something that stands out against the static, plain style used by most games in the series.

The object of the game is to make winning patterns on your bingo cards. You’ll start the game with four tickets, each of which contains numbers laid out in a three-by-five grid. You may play all four cards, or you can turn some off by clicking on them to hide them. You’ll be making equal-sized bets on each of your cards, which you can set by using the bet function at the bottom of the screen. Bets are measured in credits, which are normally valued at 0.25 units in whatever currency you might be playing with.

Once you are comfortable with your wagering choices, it’s time to start the game. Click on the spin button and you’ll see balls begin to drop from a dispenser at the top of the image. Each ball features a number between 1 and 90 that might correspond to one found on your cards. When this happens, that number will be marked off for you. The goal is to make as many winning patterns on your cards as possible. If you do make a winning combination, the appropriate numbers will turn green to mark your success.

In total, there are 12 ways to win on each card (though you can make multiple patterns on the same ticket). Not all of these patterns are easily described, but if you’ve played similar games, you’ve probably seen them before. In addition, each one is illustrated on the main game screen. We’ll try to describe them here to give you a quick rundown of what you’re looking for when you play. The payout scheme is as follows (all payouts compared to your bet per card):

  • One Line: 3x
  • Bent Line: 3x
  • Cross: 8x
  • Triangle: 10x
  • Checkerboard: 40x
  • Square: 40x
  • Letter “M”: 100x
  • Two Lines: 100x
  • All But “X”: 200x
  • Columns: 500x
  • Perimeter: 750x
  • Full Card: 1,500x

In the main portion of the game, you’ll receive a total of 30 balls. But that won’t always be the end of the round. In some cases, you may be afforded the opportunity to purchase additional balls at the end of the round. This will occur if you are close to completing certain patterns at the end of the main round. The price of these balls will vary: if you’re close to a big prize, it will cost more to buy the next number than if you don’t have any major wins in store.

There are also a few extra customization options that you should be aware of. At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see an autoplay function that allows you to make the game play through a set number of rounds (or indefinitely) by itself. You can tell the game if it should automatically play bonus rounds or buy extra balls without consulting you as well. You can also toggle the sound or turn on a turbo mode by heading into the settings menu.

Bonuses and Jackpots

Super Pachinko Plus offers a few ways for players to enjoy added bonuses during play. One important example is the bonus round, in which players have the opportunity to reap instant rewards. This bonus feature is somewhat difficult to access, however: you’ll need to purchase all of the extra balls offered at the end of a standard round. At random, that final ball might trigger the bonus round for you, sending you to a second screen.

In this special feature, you’ll be given the chance to reveal as many as five coins. Each reveal will show you an amount of instant credits that will be added to your account balance. The game will end after you reveal all five, or if you find one that doesn’t contain a prize.

As in most of Patagonia’s games, there is also a special jackpot prize that can be won under the right conditions. In order to be eligible for this award, you’ll need to play all four cards for at least three credits each. In that case, you can win the jackpot if you should manage to cover an entire card in your first 30 numbers – that is, without the need for purchasing any extra balls.

Finally, this game also randomly awards free spins to players from time to time. When this occurs, you’ll get a free play at the same stakes level you’ve been playing at. While the main game will be free, keep in mind that you’ll still need to pay for any extra balls you want to buy at the end of the round.

Don’t Worry About Strategy

Every time we write about one of these bingo-related games, we say the same thing: there’s really no strategy or tactics to worry about. Super Pachinko + is no exception, as once again, virtually everything that occurs in the game is random. There’s no way for players to influence the numbers or the patterns that will occur on their cards, so the best they can do is sit back and hope for the best.

The one decision players may have to make is whether or not to buy extra balls at the end of a drawing. Generally, we tend to say that this is a bad idea, because the game prices these additional numbers too high for players to make a profit off of them. That’s likely the case here as well, but to be honest, we can’t be entirely sure of that. Since the bonus round can only be triggered by taking these extra balls, and the special feature offers a fair amount of value to players, it’s possible that this makes it important to buy until the end whenever these extras are available. We doubt this is the case, but if you really like the bonus round, you should give yourself every chance to play it by buying the balls whenever they are available.

A Game with Plenty of Pluses

Super Pachinko Plus is one of the better bingo-based games released by Patagonia so far. Yes, the gameplay elements are much like the ones we’ve seen in their other games, but the improvements in art design and graphics are definitely noticeable and appreciated. There’s also a good mix of gaming elements here that will be familiar to veterans of the genre while still offering enough variety to keep players from getting bored too soon.

If there’s one feature that we would have liked to have seen here, it’s the “free extra ball” concept that is found in many of Patagonia’s recent games. The 30 ball drawing is also one of the smaller ones offered, making it a bit harder to win prizes. However, the overall package is still quite good, and while Super Pachinko + is not going to win over players who don’t generally play this type of game, bingo fanatics should have a great time with this title for a long time to come.
