Triple Star Slot Machine
The first thing you’ll notice is just how American this game is. Some backgrounds are subtle, or have no sense of theme. This one sure does.
You may not be able to see the 50 stars of the American flag, but you certainly aren’t short of them. Although there are stars from the flag, the ones that stand out most are the silver ones, with 3 treble stars and 3 individual stars below them. These light up during the game too.
These stars are between both 3-reel games on the left hand side, while the right hand side is dominated by the 3 bet options for its Top game, and the 13 different set of symbols and the credit wins they offer. It is a cool sense of boxes within boxes, as the separation between each number makes it super easy to see. On the bottom right are too more sets of 3 stars.
Credits Galore
But what will also catch your eye are the possible credits for the top game. If you get 3 red or blue treble bars you get 200 credits on Bet 5, 300 on Bet 10 and 500 on Bet 20. The options are dominated by stars and bars. For the Basic game, the box shows the more traditional fruits, including tomatoes, oranges, lemons, strawberries and watermelons. Higher up on the chain you can get bells, stars and the number 7.
There’s a sense of style with the italic lettering that goes well with the glamour. This is really seen when you have scored well. While the regular sound is punctuated by odd robotic noise, it really livens up when you do well on the points. The lights flash up and you hear a mixture of a circus ringside and rodeo and anthem style music.
Let’s Get This Party Started!
Triple Star features two games, Basic and Top that are a bit trickier to understand than most. The Basic game has 3 reels (or wheels as they call them here), with a main single winning line that runs through the middle. You can collect star symbols of red and blue colour for additional payout, which are below the counter. If you can complete a row with stars of the same colour either horizontally, vertically or diagonally, you earn a payout. What you get is shown on the screen next to the stars display.
You can continue collecting more lines to get a higher payout or, take your current prize with the Take Stars button. Credits won in the Basic game can be doubled or lost with the Head and Tail buttons, though it is not explained how you can generate this. When you have enough credits, you can move up to the Top game with Choose Bet. If you later find you have insufficient credit on the Club Meter, you get your credits automatically transferred from the Credit Meter.
Up top there’s another set of 3 wheels plus 3 winning lines, where you can bet 5, 10 or 20 credits. The Take Highest pot button empties the pot with the highest value and brings its credits back to the Credit Meter (the highest pot is displayed above the reels of the Basic game). When playing the Top game, 1 credit is always taken from the Credit Meter.
Star Turn
The overall game is well designed and has a lot of the regular features of the Simbat games. The Menu button contains the options to zoom in or out, log in to your account, register a new account or cashout (minimum 10 Euros). You can also play for 10 “Fun Euros” so you can hone your skills before you’re ready to play for real.
You can find links to other Simbat games on Start, with Info providing explanations of the rules of those games, as well as Triple Star. There are also details for Account and Storing Balance, as well as Cashout of Credits. The bottom part of the game also has volume control, and blue Desposit and green Win boxes.
Star Performer?
With such a memorable design, it certainly leaves an impression. It really is very striking, American heritage or not. You might not feel like saying God bless America, especially as the bonuses aren’t amazing, but the credit possibilities are fantastic.
