Aladdin’s Loot Online Slot Machine Review
This is a solid and engaging video slot, based the story of Aladdin and the Genie of the lamp. You’ll find flying carpets, a cheeky monkey and Aladdin himself on the reels. There are no gimmicks or outstanding features in this game beyond the usual free spins, wild and scatter symbols. Aimed squarely at those who prefer lower-intensity games - Aladdin’s Loot is nicely put together, the type of slot you can enjoy on auto-spin while watching the TV. You can play all Saucify slots in your browser window without the need for a download. This company were formerly known as BetOnSoft.
Graphically, this game is distinctive. The look is more of a TV cartoon than slot, with colourful shading. Even the playing card symbols have distinctive night-sky backgrounds in different colours. There is some shading, and some attention to details – for example the view outside of windows on the woman and carpet symbols. Animations are basic compared to many of today's video slots. These occur when you get a winning combination and have sound effects to go along with them. The monkey is will dance (for example) while the Aladdin symbol is just magnified.
In the background there is a traditional Arab tune. The rhythmic drumming and flowing melody does add to the atmosphere. Where the sounds fall down is with wins. These combine with the animations and make computer generated ring sounds. I have to say I found these annoying quite quickly – though at least the wins were adding up while those effects were playing.
Free spins is a simple feature, with doubled prizes. There is no jackpot in this game, though you can win big money – especially from the scatter symbol.
Setup and Play for Aladdin’s Loot
The standard 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 lines setup is in use for this slot. You can choose how many lines to play. There are only 3 coin sizes, 1c, 5c and 10c (at least on the version I played). This means you are spinning for 25c, $1.25c or $2.50 on this low limit slot. Auto-spin lets you choose to play up to 100 games at a time. What I found with this is that you have to wait while the game cycles through wins slowly between spins. This slows things down for me, while playing manually you can click ‘spin’ again to avoid this part.
Aladdin, complete with fetching bright blue turban is the wild symbol, as well as being the top payer. You’ll win 7500 coins for 5 on a line, with a 1000 coin prize for 4. Usually there will be several other wins too, as Aladdin substitutes for everything except the scatter symbol (Genie).
Of the other regular symbols the girl comes next, this is worth 2000 for 5, with the monkey clocking in at 750 coins and the magic carpet at 500 for 5. Playing cards make up the smaller wins, with ace down to nine in play. Unusually, there are pay-outs for 2 of a kind for symbols Ace and higher on the pay-out chart.
Scatters are the Genie and come with a huge prize for 5 anywhere on the reels. This is 2500 times your total bet amount for that spin. You’ll get 75 times that bet for 4, and 5x for 3. The remaining symbol is the magic lamp. This triggers the free spins round, with 10 spins for 2, 15 spins for 4 and 20 spins for 5.
Aladdin’s Loot – Bonus Feature
This is a very standard free spins feature. You’ll start with 10, 15 or 20 and continue to play the game with a count-down appearing above the reels. All wins are doubled (including the high paying scatter prizes) and you can retrigger by hitting 3 of more lamps while this round is active.
Aladdin’s Loot – Conclusion
A solid slot, rather than a fancy or feature-rich one. Positives for me include the graphics, which are different to those you’ll see on other slots, and the potential for big wins. Players used to more intensive games might miss in-reel features or break out bonus games. If you prefer the more relaxed games then this is a very nicely put together slot – check it out for yourself soon.
