Theme & Features
As you might expect symbolism abounds on the games backdrop, reels and animations. Given the Chinese, well Mandarin to be precise, theme of the game, it is no surprise to see traditional houses, banners and artefacts of that genre across the game. The music is a little less soothing than some oriental titles no doubt aiming to match a more warlike premise for this game.
RTG’s 3D work has really improved lately and there are lots of flashy visual effects throughout the game, on start-up, base game play and in the bonus rounds, of which there are two. The first is initiated unusually by the games wild symbol – the Zhanshi warrior. Not only will he grant you 25 re-spins, he will serve as a 3x multiplier during the spins round. The second spins round is less spins, 10 in fact, when you get 3 or more of the temple scatters, the only symbol not replaced by the warrior wilds. This time the warrior will give you only a 2x multiplier but you can now re-trigger the spins with any 3 warrior or temple symbols.
One big draw for this game is sure to be the jackpot options, not only is there a progressive but it is completely random and can be awarded at the end of any spin, this really increases anticipation as you just never know, that next spin of the reels could be the one!
