Private Eye Slots
If you’re a fan of murder mysteries and big progressive jackpots, you will love the Private Eye slot machine from NuWorks. This is your chance to put your skills to the test as your try to uncover the culprits involved in the heist and the stacks of cash on offer.
As the player, it’s your job to read the evidence files and scrutinize every piece of evidence to track down those pesky criminals – will you manage to walk away with one of the five progressive jackpots on offer?
NuWorks have put a lot of thought into this gaming creation, not only does it feature great graphics and design, but it also boasts 5 progressive jackpots – which in itself is amazing, as usually you only ever come across four jackpots.
You can play from 0.25 a spin or up to 6.25 a spin – which is pretty amazing for a progressive jackpot title, because usually you have to spend over 100.00 a spin to get a decent amount of cash in return. The maximum bets will return cash prizes reaching almost 100,000 – but that sum is just an average, as the jackpots grow with every spin, so you could win less or much more.
Hunt the Reels
Featuring 5 reels and 25 pay lines, Private Eye slot machine has a wonderful design that fits in with its name. Your reels are set in what looks to be a 1970’s theme with your reels set in a safe between two brick walls. Your pay lines are highlighted on golden bullets and each of the reels are set in gold. Beyond the reels is a back alley with a spotlight in search for the criminals and an eerie sky.
The symbols that make up this slot machine include a woman in pink, large man, police officer, red vintage car, detective (private eye), gun, money bags, telephone, eyes, passport documents, alcohol and confidential files. The private eye detective has the ability to double any of the wins, but a little bit more on that later on in the review.
Climb the Jackpots
Private Eye slot machine features five different progressive jackpots; mini, minor, major, maxi and grand. The jackpot pyramid is an interactive progressive jackpot game with those five levels etched into it. You start at the bottom of this 5-tier structure and try to work your way up. Every level offers gold vaults and those will open to show either a gold, red or green artifact. The gold symbol will automatically complete that level and progress you to the next, green will award another pick from that same level and red will end your quest to reach the biggest jackpots.
Completing a level will award you with the progressive jackpot for that level. As you climb the pyramid, the number of vaults on offer drops, so you won’t find all of the colored artifacts on each level.
To make things a little bit complicated, you have to place a jackpot bet alongside your original bet; 0.05 triggers a 1 in 300 chance, 0.10 triggers a 1 in 150 chance, 0.25 triggers a 1 in 60 chance, 0.50 triggers a 1 in 30 chance, 0.75 triggers a 1 in 20 chance, 1.00 offers a 1 in 15 chance, 1.25 offers a 1 in 12 chance and 2.50 offers a 1 in 6 chance. This means if you were playing maximum bets of 6.25 and then the maximum jackpot bet of 2.50 – it would cost you 8.75 a spin.
On the Hunt
The private eye detective will hunt down the culprit and fall onto your reels to help form winning combinations. He falls on reels 1 and 5 only and substitutes for all other symbols (except the scatter eye), and the original prize will be doubled when he completes the win.
Scatter is the eye symbol and it awards prizes for 3 or more symbols on your pay lines.
Re spins are also offered when the private eye detective appears on reels 1 and 5 and the eye on reel 3. Reels 1, 3 and 5 are locked into position for up to 10 free re-spins. This is where you can accumulate some big wins.
Eye It Up
There are plenty of features and cash prizes on offer in this high-variance slot machine from NuWorks. It’s fun, fast and extremely rewarding – especially during the pyramid jackpot feature.
We found the reels speed button really useful, because it allows the reels to spin a lot quicker than usual. You can set the speed to 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 – so if you choose speed 5, as soon as you press the spin button those reels won’t spin and then fall into place, instead they give a little turn and drop fast onto the reels – this speed alone will eat into your cash quicker than other online slot machines – so take that into mind when playing.
If you’re a casual slots player who likes the thrill of the reels spinning, set it to the lowest speed spin.
