Holiday Hotel Slots
Holiday Hotel from NeoGames looks to be a solid and colourful addition to their repertoire of great video slots games. As is the case with most of their offerings, Holiday Hotel looks bright and bold, and it boasts a variety of caricatures and figures that wouldn’t look out of place in a mobile phone game. But of course, the child-like appearance has no bearing on the winnings that likely await you, if the advertised jackpot of 10,000 coins is anything to go by.
So with that in mind, how does Holiday Hotel’s gameplay hold up in relation to its strong visual presentation?
Kick Back, Relax, and Take it Easy
Who doesn’t like a good vacation? To get away from it all, be whisked away to a tropical beach, where you can lie down in the sun and forget your troubles, it is everyone’s dream. That’s what Holiday Hotel looks to deliver at a first glance. Set at some tropical resort in a presumably sun-soaked part of the world, Holiday Hotel is intentionally designed to be evocative of the sensation one gets when travelling to the beach.
To be honest, I get a bit of a Bratz-like impression from the style of imagery employed – the big heads, the glamour, and fashion. The vector mobile phone-style graphics also tie into the theme, so if you like that kind of thing this game will certainly be for you. Saying that, it is clear that the design of this game will not be to everyone’s taste. In spite of the very colourful background it’s not hard to tell what’s going on here, and you won’t have any issues making out where the menu and interface are located. I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly everything runs – there isn’t any noticeable lag or stutter to speak of here.
Standing by NeoGame Tradition
Moving onto the gameplay side of things, Holiday Hotel makes use of a standard 5x3 reel setup and features 20 paylines. As is the case with most of NeoGames’s offerings, you can change your coin denomination to anywhere from 0.1 to 10 units of currency. The bottom panel allows you to adjust your coin size, the number of paylines in play, max out your bet automatically and spin the reels. The bottom-left corner holds the auto-spinner, and the big, colourful beach ball lets you access the pay table and relevant help info. There aren’t any free spins available, but you do get wild and scatter symbols.
Visit the Iconic Sights
That iconic 10 grand base jackpot once again makes a return here. The lack of a progressive jackpot won’t matter all that much when I tell you that you have the chance to earn as much as 100,000 coins in a single spin!
As if that weren’t enough, there are some big score multipliers in effect too – the wild symbol will multiply your wins by up to 10x over, and getting up to 5 scatter symbols on a winning reel will multiply your win by up to a staggering 500x– in effect, this is like getting a jackpot without it officially being a jackpot.
All-inclusive Travel
There is a fun little mini-game that can be triggered when you get at least three consecutive bonus symbols. When this happens you are given the choice to select from a number of food platters, each one containing a random multiplier.
At the end of the game, the multipliers you selected are all added up and added to your base bet to calculate your winnings. It’s a simple game, but it can add up to real winnings fast if you weren’t skimping on the bet sizes.
Holiday of a Lifetime!
Holiday Hotel is yet another worthy addition to the annals of video slots games. NeoGames usually hits it out of the ballpark, as they are known for producing high-quality, well-designed games that offer big winnings without breaking the bank, and Holiday Hotel is no exception to that rule. It offers a whole multitude of winnings multipliers, a huge jackpot, and a neat bonus game that you don’t have to spin the reels a thousand times over in order to access.
The lower bet values and charming graphics will appeal to the casual gambler, while the high maximum bet values and big jackpot will appeal to the more hardcore gambler. If you can’t decide what your next game of video slots should be, you will never go wrong with choosing Holiday Hotel that’s for sure.
