Diamond Diggin’ Slots
Delve deep into the ground, travelling to what feels like the earth’s core as you go in search of gems in Diamond Digging. Everyone loves to get mucky every now and again, and if a reward is attached to it, it makes the filth all the more satisfying, which is part of what makes this 5-reel, 25-payline slot machine so appealing.
Mining is one of those jobs that can uncover the unexpected - you may find gold but you may also find lumps of coal or worse… Being prepared for whatever can be thrown your way is always preferable when underground, a factor you need to remember when you start digging into this game.
There is a lot of money to be made from what you dig up, but equally there are more than enough chances to leave empty handed, play it smart, bet wisely, use our guide, and you may just have what it takes to reach those diamonds.
Going Down?
So you’ve taken the mining cart all the way to the ground floor, you’ve picked up your pickaxe and you’re ready to get digging… but something is missing? Well, that’ll be your initial bet. In this case it’ll need to be anything from 0.05 credits up to an accessible 2.00, making this game one for the majority of slot players.
After you’ve figured out your finances, you then need to decide whether you play with all 25 paylines or whether you reduce that amount via the bold lines button found underneath the matrix. Arguably less lines will make this title more challenging as it is harder to get a grouping of winning combos, but if you’re up for testing your wits and staying power, what better way to do it. At least it’ll cost you less.
Besides the massive spin widget, the only other part of the control panel you need to be able to navigate is the maximum bet feature, and that is incredibly simple: it’s just one click. This will change your game to the max amount of paylines at whatever value you’ve determined, and then the reels with spin. That’s right, you have to still change how much you want each line to equate to, which makes the whole option less than convenient.
There is help on how to play in the upper right hand corner, as well as the paytable found in the lower left, but they’re not vital to gameplay as everything seems to explain itself well enough.
Going for a Ride
Funnily enough, if you find at least three of the bonus icons, which are a man sat in one of the carts, then you will be going on quite the ride. We’re talking twists and turns, not to mention lots of different coloured diamonds, all of which add up to various amounts.
This bonus round is probably the most enjoyable part of the slot, which is why we’ve mentioned it first. There is one tiny issue though, when it comes to choosing whether you go left or right when you meet the fork in the track, the reaction time is slow.
The TNT detonator is the free spins icon, as the text so clearly states, and with it a series of free games will come, all of them increased depending on how many you find; should get all five of them players will receive 40 bonus spins.
Although both of these tiles have proven generous, it’s the wild that steals the show hands down. Yes, it’ll remove all other symbols bar the special icons, as standard, but then it has a hefty 10,000 credits prize attached to it when you unearth five of them. That’s some serious money right there – can you imagine if you found ten wilds in one playthrough?! Of course, you may only find two of the icons, which means you get a measly 10.00 credits, but that’s the luck of slot machines.
Moving onto the overall theme and the atmosphere it creates, it is actually a very immersive experience, the imagery having a carved quality to it that is very inkeeping with mining. The colours are quite vivid, and a lot feel like they have a glow to them, as if you’re looking at them through muted light due to being underground. It’s just a shame they’re not animated when a winning combo is made…
Diamond Rush
Diamond Digging from MultiSlot is a great, great slot machine that we just can’t get enough of. The way it sounds, looks and feels, especially the interaction you get in the mini game, makes it feel like one big title rather than a casual one. There is just something more to it that connects with us. Then there is the final jackpot, which let's face it, can easily shoot upwards breaking through the ground at any minute, making it all the more enjoyable.
