Media Gamble is an online casino software provider that specializes in creating video slot machines. Launched in 2014, the company has a headquarters in San Pablo, Costa Rica, and appears to be targeting the grey market side of the iGaming industry. So far, their main clients have been Russian-facing sites that are regulated in Curacao, such as Coliseum Bet.
While this company initially created a more traditional set of video slots, they have more recently added a library of 3D games to bolster their library. While they are by no means one of the major players in the casino games development field, they have created some interesting slots; in particular, they’ve explored some themes that we don’t see a lot of studios take seriously, such as some horror games that actually manage to be a bit creepy during play for those who like a scare to go along with their gambling.
As we noted in the intro, Media Gamble is really a company that’s only about the creation of online slot machines. They do not create a platform for the hosting or distribution of games, and they haven’t branched out into table games or any other areas. They also haven’t been very prolific so far, with players in many parts of the world likely never having seen their titles even if they’ve played at a lot of different sites over the years.
This lack of exposure isn’t helped by the fact that the company’s website is difficult to access at times. That said, we do know a few things about their business that show that this isn’t just a fly-by-night operation. For instance, the team here has been pretty consistently pumping out new slots since 2014, and has utilized HTML5 in more recent releases to ensure that everyone can enjoy them, regardless of the operating system being used or whether gamblers connect from a PC or a mobile device.
We also know that the collection here has been tested by iTech Labs, one of the most trusted names in online casino random number generator testing. Media Gamble holds a certificate from the independent lab, which certifies that the RNG being used by their games is truly random and fair. In addition, the slots from this company are said to have a high return-to-player – we’ve heard that most or all of the games are typically set to about 96% RTP – which is a nice bonus for those who want to get the best odds possible when they place their bets.

In total, Media Gamble has created just over a dozen games so far, with more titles in development at the time of this writing. The collection consists of a fairly even mix of more traditional 2D slots and newer 3D games with slightly more intensive graphics. All of these games look fairly good, though we can’t say they are all that impressive visually: the artwork and the animations get the job done, and in some cases are rather nice to look at, but they aren’t up to the level of the top games being released in 2017.
Most of these games follow a pretty standard slots format, using a five-reel layout with players hoping to match symbols from left to right across a set number of paylines. However, within that basic structure, there is plenty of variety, with the number of paylines, level of payouts, and the types of special features available varying between each machine. This gives this collection plenty of replay ability, which is nice when you consider how many small studios are content to slap all of their themes onto what is essentially the same game, with very little to distinguish each of their releases.
When it comes to the games, there’s a huge variety of themes, and some of them are quite unique. We’re fond of Maniac House, a horror game that really does bring a lot of scares and chills (especially the first time you hear and see some of the frightening effects) over its 20 paylines, while also rewarding players with several different bonus features. If you’re in the mood for something more festive, you can try Lapland, a 25-line machine that’s all about the Christmas season – with a Finnish twist. If you’re truly a child at heart, you might enjoy Forest Ant, a game filled with lush greenery and an animated ant hero who stands beside the reels. No matter what you’re in the mood for, Media Gamble has something that should hit the spot.
It’s hard to imagine that the Media Gamble collection will become your go-to source for casino action. After all, it’s just too small to be the core of an online gambling site, and while the games are good, they aren’t any better than what many other developers are putting out these days. Still, given some of the unique themes, we think that many players would find titles they really enjoyed from this portfolio if given the chance. Now it’s just a matter of the provider getting their work out to larger distribution channels if they want more gamblers to play these intriguing games.
