Alaxe in Zombieland Slot Machine
Sometimes the title says it all, and some other times you need to think about it a little longer to figure out what this slot game is actually about.
Alaxe in Zombieland is actually a free adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, the famous Lewis Carrol tale of a young girl falling down the rabbit hole and exploring the fantastic world that lies beyond. But this time around, the fantasy world our protagonist ends up in is full of hungry zombies.
So be ready for a whole new take on the famous story in this original video slot game filled with many possibilities to win big cash rewards as you explore the gloomy universe of Zombieland.
Creepy Settings
Alaxe in Wonderland is a humorous take on the famous story, with a creepy atmosphere and plenty of gloomy details.
First of all, the game takes place in a graveyard on a full moon night, with the reels framed within the main entrance gate. The surroundings are foggy and dark, with touches of bright red to evoke blood.
With its gloomy graphics and soundtrack, there is no doubt that Alaxe in Zombieland is a game with a unique dark atmosphere. The graphic quality, however, is not especially high and if you are accustomed to playing slot games with high-quality 3D graphics, you might be disappointed.
Know the Rules
The gameplay in Alaxe in Zombieland offers plenty of opportunities for players to customise their game and play the way they want.
The game has five reels of three symbols each, with a maximum of 25 paylines to bet on. Use the commands located at the bottom of the game screen in order to select the size of your wager and the number of paylines you wish to bet on. The Bet Max button is a handy shortcut for activating all paylines and spinning the reels at once. Remember that the more you put on the table, the greater your potential rewards will be. Hit the red Spin button on the right-hand side to get the game started.
You might also want to try out the Autoplay mode to let the reels spin loose for a while. You can come back to single-spin mode at any time, to adjust your bet settings for instance.
The Horror Continues
The reel symbols of Alaxe in Zombieland are naturally just as scary as the settings of the game.
Even the otherwise innocuous card symbols are displayed on gravestones. From number 9 and all the way to the Ace, these low-paying symbols are like fluorescent marks in the dark. Their low payouts are compensated by the high frequency with which they show up in the game.
The other half of the menu consists of characters from the original story, only in their zombie version. The Hare of March, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat and Alice / Alaxe, they are all present, looking creepier than ever. Focus on the big rewards they yield and keep your eyes peeled for them.
Three Scatters for Three Bonuses
The three final symbols of Alaxe in Zombieland are Scatter cards, which means that they can trigger special features even when they are not lined up on an activated payline.
The Watch triggers the Tea Party Bonus, where you must pick kettles to win Free Spins and Multipliers. The Watch can only appear on reels 1, 2 and 3 and you need three of them to enter the Tea party.
The Key Scatter, on reels 2, 3 and 4, opens the way to the courtyard of the Red Queen. There, your task is to select roses that bloomed on tombstones to win extra cash prizes. Choose carefully to make the best out of the game.
The Elixir symbol appearing simultaneously on reels 3, 4 and 5 starts the Tombstones Bonus game. 15 gravestones appear on the reels, you just have to tell Alaxe which one to destroy to win the prize hidden behind. Be careful though, as one of the gravestones will only end the Bonus game and take you back to the reels prematurely.
A Creepy and Original Take
Alaxe in Zombieland takes players to a creepy, Halloween theme version of Alice in Wonderland. The stakes are high and the Bonus games are plenty, which many players will enjoy. In terms of gameplay and rewards, the developers at Genesis Gaming did a great job.
The relatively low-quality graphics are a bit of a bummer, but there is still plenty of fun to be had helping Alaxe smash zombies.
