Vampire Slayers Slot Machine
The night is dark, and full of terrors! The dusk has just fallen and stars and trying to come out of hibernation. Shadows have finally started to feel at ease, while a weird sense of impending doom weighs heavy upon your shoulders. Bloodsucking vampires thrive here and there’s no hiding for the weak or the coward!
Grab your weapons and ride high on mettle, because you’ll have to throw everything you’ve got into the mix just to come out alive through the night! And when the golden rays of sunshine drive the darkness away, your bravery will be duly rewarded with heavy bags of cash – only in Vampire Slayers, a terrifyingly enticing slot from GameOS!
Time to Lay the Vampires to Rest
There’s nothing heavier than the shadows of the past. Vampires, despite enjoying a pop culture rebirth in recent years, are still somewhat new creatures in the world of slots. GameOS has tried to settle those scores through Vampire Slayers, and we are loving it!
First thing’s first – this is one of the most thoughtfully designed slots we have come across in last few months. The whole gameplay space bears multitude of shades of red – a colour that most of us associate vampires with.
Brilliantly supportive sound effects and a strange, spooky ambiance that the slot creates are two more strong suits here. Once you spin this 5-reel slot machine, it’s an almost certainly that you’ll be coming back – and that’s a win in our books.
Getting to Understand What the Deal Is
At 30 paylines and 5 reels, there is nothing unusual about the base game of this slot. If you have ever had a chance to try your hand at any GameOS slot before, you will probably find yourself at home right from the word go.
The wagers follow a pretty formulaic route, too. You can put at stake only one coin per payline, the value of which will be decided you. The coin value brackets are set between 5 cents and $5. This is a high limit slot game which might be a fairly good news for high-rollers, because a top stake of $150 per spin in a slot that pledges to shower upon you a jackpot of 5,000 coins is nothing to scoff at.
The idea is simple – get the high paying symbols (Vampire killing stakes, in this case) in a wicked union of five in one row and feel free to take the fastest road home with a bag potentially (although unlikely, of course) full of $25,000!
Special Symbols and Everything That Goes with Them
Vampire Slayers is a slot that plays to its fullest might when you actually manage to rise above the base game. Sure, the base game jackpot of $25,000 is large enough to salivate at, but still, it would take a really na?ve mind to keep thinking that it’s going to be a regular occurrence. So, the better way to riches while spinning these literally bloody reels is through special symbols and bonus rounds.
Talking about special symbols, there is one wild (Book of Spells) and one scatter/bonus symbol (the game logo). The wild symbols of the slot can appear on any reels and can be used to shuffle regular symbols here and there in order to arrive at a meaningful combo that actually pays out. Much to our discontent, however, multiple wilds on the screen do not trigger the trademark GameOS feature of MegaWild. The fact that wilds here do not carry any multiplier also takes a lot of venom out of the sting.
But to sting badly, you’ve got your scatter symbols. The game logo, if and when appears on the screen at least thrice in one spin, will trigger the Vampire Killers bonus round.
This is literally a game of death. You will be required to pick one at random from a set of five spooky coffins. If your choice of coffin has a vampire in it, you will have to kill it mercilessly with a stake in order to receive your bonus prize – usually a lump sum of 1,500 coins. Not bad for some virtual vampire slaying, we say!
Slay What You See
The idea is laudable. The interface is chic and scary. The theme has been handled very maturely, as well.
But what Vampire Slayers gains in these departments is sort of lost in the gameplay department. There is nothing new here to go gaga over, and it’s as good as playing just another GameOS slot.
But we wouldn’t mind nursing some disappointment as long as our wagers are put to good use through some sick Vampire thrashing combos.
