King Arthur Slot
Think you’re man enough to pull the sword from the rock? King Arthur gives you the chance to back up your boasts. The five-reel, non-progressive video slot from Ash Gaming borrows from lore to lead you (hopefully) towards immortality on the reels.
There are 20 paylines in play here, with plenty of high-paying symbols to shoot for. The game also includes wilds, scatters, an autoplay function and an excellent bonus feature. The latter, known as a Quest Game, gives you the chance to grab multipliers to boost your bankroll.
This gorgeously designed, medieval-themed slot might be a little long in the tooth – it first hit casinos way back in 2010 – but it has certainly withstood the test of time against more modern titles like Castle Slot.
Knights of the Round Table
Ready to rock the reels? OK, good. All you need to do to get started is bet a minimum of one coin per line. Be aware though, you don’t have to play all 20 pay-lines – they’re unfixed, so you can play on just one if you prefer. You will have to stake a minimum of 0.05 or a maximum of 10 credits per line.
The graphics of King Arthur are great, and the audio, which reflects the lively king’s court, demonstrates the theme well. The 5x3 grid, meanwhile, appears in the foreground against a backdrop of a castle. There is a regal male and a fair wench either side of the grid, and the game’s logo appears above the reels. Along the bottom are buttons to regulate your pay-lines, and also activate the auto bet. It’s also where you can view the pay-table.
Symbols on the reels, meanwhile, include playing card icons from 10 to Ace, a golden, ruby-encrusted chalice, a white castle, a sword in a stone, a sword held by a hand that emerges from the water, Merlin the wizard and King Arthur himself. The latter two symbols are wild, though they perform different functions. King Arthur, for example, is particularly useful when used to help you form winning combinations. Utilise the king in a win and that win will be doubled! Both wild symbols can, of course, substitute for all other symbols, though neither can replace the other. They are also unable to stand in for the game’s scatter, or the Camelot bonus icon.
Between the two, the wilds offer the highest pay-outs in the game. Five King Arthurs, for example, will net you the 10,000 jackpot, while four pays 2,000. By contrast, five Merlins pays 5,000, while four yields 1,000.
King Arthur’s scatter is the sword in the stone, and it is linked to multipliers (rather than free spins) depending on how many you find. Land three, four or five and you’ll get to play a mini game. For each sword you retrieve from the rock, you are given a cumulative win multiplier that goes from x2 to x32. Scatter wins are multiplied by the total stake for all lines. At maximum bet, then, five scatters can furnish you with an incredible 800 credits.
Four bonus symbols – two wilds, the Camelot Bonus and the scatter – isn’t half bad when you think about it. With so much action to aim for, the regular symbols are somewhat forgotten, though the golden chalice still pays 100 for four and 300 for five.
The Camelot bonus
The Camelot bonus is the aforementioned white castle. Land three, four or five symbols on an active pay-line and the Camelot Quest Game will be triggered. The premise of the game is simple: you need to guide King Arthur back to Camelot. He’s been off swashbuckling, see. As you guide him along the map, you can multiply your bonus up to x4, depending on the door he chooses.
In addition to activating the bonus game, the Camelot bonus icon is linked to some handsome pay values, including 480 for four or 1,600 for five.
All hail the king
King Arthur is an excellent slot game. If bonus features prick up your ears, you’ll love this one, as there are none other than four special symbols, each linked to some seriously generous pay-outs. The pace of the game is swift, and the pay-table is attractive. Give it your all to retrieve that damn sword from the rock and you might just go down in history. If not, of course, Asg gaming make plenty of games with other themes such as Jewels Of Atlantis.
