Skull Slot Machine
777igt is a slot game software provider that has brought you more than 100 slot games, with more than 50 different variants, during recent years.
777igt has been steadily trying to build on the slots that they provide to ensure that their content is even more diverse and user friendly than ever before. That being said, the brand’s facelift was designed to breathe new life into their game catalogue, and in a sense it has done just that.
Skull is the latest creation to emerge from 777igt, with it attempting to take the developer in a brand new direction.
Dark, edgy, and altogether alternative, when you load up this game you’ll find that it doesn’t tie in or link to any other 777igt release that has come before. Meshing together black, red, and gold, this game is a production values marvel, but is that enough to secure this game an audience? The following review reveals all!
All That Glistens Is Gold
Skull is one of 777igt's edgier offerings, with a theme that certainly catches the eye. The only colours used on the slot are black, red, and gold, while there's some diamonds thrown into the mix too. The slot itself takes up the full screen, edge to edge, with boxes at the bottom of the slot and again at the top, with the word Skull written in large gold print across the very top of the page.
Skulls, Skulls, and More Skulls
The theme and design of Skull is addressed in the title of the game, and it's evident in every visual aspect of this slot, especially when it comes to the symbols. There is what clearly looks to be some sort of treasure that is used, with different types of jewels and jewellery representing different symbols and values, like a gold skull ring encrusted with rubies and sapphires. There are more skulls to be seen, as there are six variations of golden skull symbols, all symbolising different things such as the three for the Mega, Mini and Minor Jackpots, there is another gold skull for the Wild symbol, one for the Scatter symbol, and a final gold skull for the Free Spins symbol.
Draped in Jewels
There are four equal sized gold boxes above the slot, the first box with the words Mega Jackpot at the top and the Mega Jackpot total within the box. The next box is labeled Mini Jackpot and the box itself houses the number representing the total of the Mini Jackpot.
The third box has the words Minor Jackpot across the top with the Minor Jackpot total inside the box, and the fourth and final box that rest above the slot reels is the Lobby button.
Speaking on this matter briefly, it’s great to see that 777igt have made the triple-header jackpot setup a part of Skull.
Picking up Bar After Bar
Underneath the slot game there are a number of similar gold boxes of varying sizes, each serving a different purpose. The first box on the bottom left shows the number of Credits a player has, the second box is for the number of Bet Lines, with the option to increase and decrease the value. The third box shows the value of the bet per line, also with the options to increase and decrease its total value.
The next box is rather different, as this is the Pay Table box which, when clicked, gives players valuable information about playing the slot and the symbols to look out for. The fifth box shows players the amount of their Winnings, while the sixth box shows them the Maximum Bet.
Out of Body Experience
It should also be noted that Skull includes an Auto Play option. This may seem like a small feature, but it does make the game easier to play, as it takes manual effort and manual control out of the equation.
Skull Lays down a Marker for Online Slots Action!
We are going to be up front and honest, Skull is hardly the most creatively imaginative online slots game we’ve ever played. In fact, it’s far from it. But what it does represent is a clear improvement from 777igt on the production values side of things. The game looks great on screen, with the gold used having a real pop to it.
Whichever way you look at it, Skull is a step forward for 777igt, thus is well worth giving the try.
