Dracula’s Blood Bank Online Slot Review
Count Dracula first appeared in the book by Bram Stoker in the late 19th century, telling the tale of how Count Dracula would attempt to move from Transylvania to England in search of new blood while avoiding the clutches of Van Helsing and his compatriots. This slot takes a light hearted look at the story, featuring an array of symbols associated with both Dracula and the horror genre in general. If you love these popular myths and tales, take a look at our slot machine myths.
This slot is a real fun looking one. The ‘Dracula’s Blood Bank’ title is splattered in blood at the top of the screen, as are the win line markers to each side of the slot. The background to the slot is a night scene set in a graveyard (where else?) with a full moon lighting the sky. The symbols are drawn in a humorous cartoon style and include such characters as a floating female ghost with huge darting eyes, a crucifix with the wings of a bat, two sharp teeth protruding from a mouth framed by two bright red lips and the headstone of Count Dracula himself. Of course Dracula appears as well, this Dracula having green skin and rather goggly eyes, making him one of the least scary Dracula’s ever seen. The accompanying sound at the slot is perfect – you hear dark organ music, clunking and the sound of a gong accompanying each spin. Land the free spins and you’ll hear an ear piercing scream, much louder than the screams which accompany the general game – all of this adding to the atmosphere of the slot.
Set up and Play for Dracula’s Blood Bank
This slot by 1x2 is something of a standard 5 reel slot, although the number of win lines is relatively small at nine – this can be an advantage as you’ll receive more spins for your money. You do actually have the option of playing less than nine if you choose. You’ll also select the number of coins and the coin amount, which will give you the total stake for the spin.
To achieve a win at this slot you’ll need to land consecutive symbols from left to right on a win line, the majority of symbols needing 3 in a row, but the top four will actually pay out when landing just two. These four symbols are Dracula, the female ghost, a phantom and a ghoul-like Frankenstein character. When landing five of these symbols in a row you’ll win 400x, 350x, 300x and 100x your coin amount respectively. The other symbols in order of pay out are a man holding a briefcase (on the way to the blood bank perhaps?), the pointed teeth, a heart in barbed wire, the crucifix, the headstone of Dracula and a coffin (no horror theme slot would be complete without a coffin).
There is also a special prize available when a win line only contains the phantom, the female ghost and Dracula – this winning you a prize of 150x your coin amount. If you're finding any of this hard to follow, check out our FAQ section or our 'how slots work' page, for more information.
The slot has a bat wild symbol which will substitute for any other symbol except for the free spins scatter symbol.
The feature of the slot is a free spins round which is activated by landing the free spins scatter symbol three or more times across any of the reels.
Dracula’s Blood Bank Free Games Round
The number of free spins you’ll gain at this slot is dependent upon how many scatter symbols you hit to land the feature. 3 scatter symbols give you 5 spins, 4 scatters give you 10 and the maximum 5 scatters earns you 15 free spins. During this round you’ll have a 2x multiplier.
Dracula’s Blood Bank - Conclusion
How much you’ll like this slot will depend on what you actually want when visiting a casino. If you’re after a slot with lots of interactive features or a large Jackpot opportunity, this slot probably won’t be for you. However, if you’re after a fun looking slot where all of the action takes place on the reels themselves then this might be ideal. The small number of win lines and the regular wins make this slot perfect for the player who enjoys a low variance slot where you’ll never go on too long a losing run – although you’ll never win too much either. This slot does a good job of being both atmospheric and fun (not an easy combination to achieve), making it a good one for the occasional visit.
