The background of the game is an abstract, crimson panel that resembles fire or lava. Nothing much to see here, but the reels are simply beautiful. Framed in a golden case featured miniature ships on top, their simplicity is yet enough to make the game stand out.

There are several references to the number eight within the gameplay of 1421 Voyages of Zheng He, as it is a lucky number in Chinese culture.
