Casino gaming doesn’t have to be expensive. In fact it doesn’t have to cost you a cent if you’re not prepared to pay for the privilege. Thanks to the rise of social gaming sites such as Yeppers, you can enjoy slots, keno and other popular casino games without needing to gamble with real money. Why would anyone want to do such a thing? Well there are a number of reasons, but ultimately it all comes down to the sheer entertainment; gaming is meant to be fun, and when win or lose your bank balance remains unchanged, it’s easy to enjoy the experience without the dread of spending beyond your means.
Sites like Yeppers are specifically designed for the mobile-playing Facebook generation. They can be considered your gateway to the world of real casinos. There’s no obligation to take things to the next level, but there’s certainly the potential to do so. Although slots are by far the main attraction at Yeppers, there are other games too that can be enjoyed. Scratch cards, keno and video poker are all to be savoured, providing a welcome break from spinning all those slots interminably.
Yeppers is new casino site that was launched in 2017. Its About page goes into great detail about what’s on offer. It bills the site as being “your home for free play games that offer you the opportunity to play for significant prizes”. The About page looks like it was thrown together in a hurry, but most players won’t take exception to the occasional typo in the mix admittedly. The About page also speaks about how the goal with Yeppers was to create a site that feels like a proper community, one that has the air of being a non-profit.
It also says there’s the chance to win life-changing financial prizes worth “up to millions”, but this is dubious. It’s the site’s advertisers who provide the actual prizes. Basically, by playing and consuming the adverts that are served at you, you’ll be rewarded in turn by receiving various prizes. Don’t count on these running into the millions however, despite anything you may read on the site’s About page. The games here might be free incidentally but you’ll still need to be over 18 to play.
Getting started at Yeppers calls for signing up and logging in, something you can do using your Facebook or Google+ account. Once you’ve done so, click on the bright orange button at the top of the page called Practice. It’s here you’ll get a chance to put the casino’s games to the test. At the same time, an autoplay video in the right hand sidebar starts. This is the concession you have to make at social gaming sites: ads. In fairness, watching it doesn’t seem obligatory to play it, so you can stop the vid and get on with gaming if you like.
After you’ve signed in and headed to the Practice page, you’ll see some of the tournaments listed in the right hand sidebar. These have names such as 2-Person Demo, Pizza Hit Bonanza and Military Tournament. These are based around certain games – Soldiers Fortune in the case of the military tourney – or certain concepts, such as playing with a bunch of mates or online friends you’ve made. There’s a search bar on the practice page enabling you to quickly find games you’re looking for, but given that there are only eight games on the site as this stands, it’s probably overkill.
There are seven slots and one keno game that can be played at Yeppers, the keno game in question being Golden Egg Keno. As for the slots, it comes down to a choice between Tiki Beach, which features toucans and a Hawaiian setting, Golden Stars which appears to have some sort of astrological connection, Las Vegas, which is surely the most generically named game ever, and Ocean Riches. This latter title features mermaids and sunken treasure chests. Completing the roster of slots at Yeppers is Soldiers Fortune, Bloody Mary’s Booty and Hippie Roll, which is a psychedelic slot which looks like it’s set in the 1960s.
Because Yeppers is such new casino site, there are still placeholder banners in place for where adverts will appear. Interested parties are encouraged to register with a view to advertising on the site. If you need to get hold of a member of the Yeppers support team while playing at the site, a contact form is available. There doesn’t appear to be a live chat option, but there are chat rooms which can be accessed as part of the playing experience. Once Yeppers gains traction and starts attracting players, the live chat should start to come into its own, and enhance the playing experience.
If you’re interested in entering one of the tournaments on the site, you’ll find all the rules for entry laid out in fine detail. This can be accessed via a link in the footer of the homepage. The tournaments have been designed to be multi-staged. As a result, players will win a prize for each stage of the competition they triumph in. The maximum amount of players you’ll need to beat is 77 people, but in reality this number will vary depending on the tournament in question.
To enter a tournament you’ll require 500 digital coins, which can be gathered by watching 5x 30-second commercials and answering trivia questions related to these. You’ll be awarded 100 coins for each tournament you watch. Click on the tournament you wish to join, enter the virtual room and wait until there are at least 9 other people in the room. Once that threshold has been reached, there’ll be a countdown timer showing how long remains until the tourney commences.

Part of a new breed of social gaming sites, Yeppers and its ilk have real potential. Not everyone will be taken with this mode of gaming, one which calls for watching commercial in order to obtain the requisite credits to play. That being said, it will only take a few minutes to watch the 5x 30-second adverts necessary to get involved with the site. Once that’s done, you’ll be free to focus on the fun side of being a Yeppers member. The range of games to be played at the site right now isn’t great; let’s face it, it’s not going to take long to tire of eight games. Once additional titles are included, not least some scratch cards and video poker, things will start to brighten up and there might actually be a reason to join.
Although the supposed prizes you can win from the tournaments is unlikely to amount to much, provided you’re content to play the games for pure enjoyment you can view anything you happen to win as a bonus. Millions of dollars in prizes? It’s more likely to be a gift voucher, but hey, what more did you expect? In fairness it remains to be seen what sort of prizes Yeppers dispenses. It’s possible that once the site gets going and develops an active community, it will be on a position to provide more varied tournaments and more varied prizes. For now, Yeppers remains a promising site that’s worth keeping an eye on.
