Slotsational Casino Review

Slotsational is a descriptive and unambiguous name for an online casino. It’s pretty evident what this site’s all about and what you can expect. A new site which launched in 2017, Slotsational has some peculiarities about it which are markedly unique. Most new online casinos utilise a single page design that obliges you to scroll down the page, viewing the available games as you go. That’s not the case here. In fact, there are some really weird things going on at Slotsational. Try to move your cursor or your finger across the touchscreen if you’re on mobile to navigate and you get a weird jerky effect.

This causes the background image to shift slightly, but doesn’t lead you anywhere. It’s like there’s a parallax image effect been applied but which isn’t working properly. The effect is disconcerting and for a moment leaves you confused and wondering where you’re supposed to go. Thankfully there are some buttons across the top menu that are clickable. There’s also a mini carousel which zooms across the bottom of the screen without really adding much. Click through to Games and you’ll find a banner image placeholder on the right hand side labelled “Some sort of promo”. Yep, this site could use some more work.

About Slotsational

Check out the About page at Slotsational and you’ll learn nothing. That’s because it’s filled with lorem ipsum, aka placeholder Latin text. It’s perhaps unfair to be too harsh on Slotsational given that it’s still a work in progress. It seems a strange decision to put your site live, and make it available to sign up at and log in, without first finishing off the content. If you need to get hold of customer support while using the site, there’s a contact submission form provided. This seems to be your only means of getting in touch with a member of the team as it stands.

Another curiosity about this site is that of the four buttons which appear in the top menu, two appear to perform the same function, for they’re marked Log In and Sign In. The site seems to be promoting the ability to sign in via Facebook and Google +, suggesting that it’s designed to be set up as more of a social-oriented casino than anything. There’s no information on the site about banking as it stands. This could be because the site simply hasn’t been finished yet, or it could be because it’s been designed exclusively as a social gaming site where you can play for free. If it’s the latter, the intention is to get players trying out the games for fun. Get a taste for them, so the theory goes, and later you’ll be inclined to sign up at a casino offering the real thing.

The Tournaments on Offer

There’s no info regarding welcome bonuses or other promotions, further augmenting the theory that Slotsational is a social gaming site. Instead of promotions, there are tournaments to be played. These are all slots-based. At present there are two tournaments listed on the site, each based around a particular game: Dragon’s Gold and Bloody Mary’s Booty. A countdown timer reveals how long players have left to get involved.

A chat box to the bottom right of the screen currently lies unused, but will presumably be filled with chatter once players start using this brand new site. Although it’s not explicitly stated, the aim of the game with these tournaments is to put in as much time as possible playing them. Do that and you stand a chance of finishing in the top 20, making the leaderboard and winning a prize. If Slotsational is a social gaming site, there won’t be any real money or bonus cash doled out, but there may be credits of some sort that can be put towards other games.

Eight Games

There are only eight games to be played at Slotsational as it stands. There are five slots, two scratch cards and one keno game. It’s safe to assume that the number and range of games will grow significantly as Slotsational start to build up their site and attract players. Available slots, all of which have been designed to work on mobile as well as on tablet and desktop, comprise the Hawaiian-themed Tiki Beach as well as Hippie Ball which looks as trippy and psychedelic as it sounds. Next up is Las Vegas, a generically named slot, and then Ocean Riches, complete with frolicking mermaids and lots of treasure.

Next up is Soldier Fortune which looks to be set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland and is modelled in the style of a classic shoot ‘em up. The one keno game that’s currently available is Golden Eggs Keno, which leaves just two scratch cards, the supernatural Golden Potion and the cartoon-like Wild West. Eight games isn’t a lot to be going on with, but it’s a start at least and gives Slotsational something to offer while it works on augmenting these with additional titles.

Slotsational Conclusion

Slotsational is a clean looking site that’s mobile-friendly and has huge potential. Potential is pretty all it has right now as until the site has been 100% finished it’s hard to gauge what’s on offer there. All three of the text links in the footer – About Us, Partners and Rules – lead to pages with placeholder text. Thus it’s impossible to say who’s running the site and what their plans are. The weird navigation which causes the homepage to judder is something that will need to be sorted out. In fact it would be easier to list the elements of this site that are actually working right now; there’s not a whole lot to be going on with. The concept of the site, regardless of whether it winds up being one that can be played at with real money or purely for fun, seems a sound one. Slots can be a lonely and solitary business after all. Introducing regular tournaments and a chat facility goes a long way to adding a social element to video slot playing.

Given that Facebook and Google+ logins are available, it’s safe to assume that Slotsational will be marketed as a social gaming site. It looks like there’ll be daily or weekly tournaments held, ensuring there’ll always be something to do and the prospect of winning prizes in exchange for doing what you were going to do anyway – play slots. In the right hand sidebar of the Games page, forthcoming tournaments are listed; there’s a top prize of 5,000 in the case of Catana and 50,000 for Treasure Hunt. 50,0000 what exactly? Credits most likely. Of the games that are available at present, the slots look pretty good, with some diverse themes to suit most players. The fact that there’s also scratch cards, keno and video poker is also a bonus. It’s too soon to gauge the quality of these games, but hopefully they’ll prove the perfect complement to the slots.
