Max Cash Online Slot Machine Review
Think James Bond and you’ll be on the right track with this game – which looks to recreate espionage and high tech action on the reels. Unusually for a Saucify title, this game is a 5 by 4 grid, with the extra row of symbols giving you plenty more potential for winning combinations. The main attraction is a free spins feature round – which comes with a multiplier for your wins. Like all Saucify titles, this is a slick and professionally produced game. I particularly like the way that it resizes to fit your screen, as this is ideal for play on an iPad or Android device.
Drama is the key word as far as the graphic elements go. Colours are bright and bold, and the action theme is apparent in every symbol used. Max himself (who looks a little like the late Paul Walker to me), his arch enemy Ivan Dracanov (great name!), guns, bombs and gadgets make up many of the symbols. Dramatic music plays in a loop in the background. The one let down is the tune used for winning combinations, which does not quite seem to fit with the rest of the game. Animations appear when you win, most of these are basic – though they do contribute to the intense feeling that Saucify are trying to get across with this slot.
Only having one free spins game is a little disappointing, though the 2x multiplier makes it possible to accumulate some decent wins during this bonus game.
Setup and Play for Max Cash
50 win lines are used in this 4-row, 5-reel video slot. You are free to choose any number of these you wish. The coin value and coins played for each line are also configurable. The smallest spin for this game is just 50c, with the biggest at $100. You can spin automatically if you wish.
You will find that the individual wins are small, though you’ll hit a lot of them over the 50 lines to balance this. The single biggest prize comes from Max himself, and is just 750 coins for 5. The motorbike gets you 500 coins for 5, the high tech phone 400, the bomb 400, the headset and gun both 300 and the playing card symbols make up the smaller wins.
Scatter symbols have the biggest prizes; there are two – both with pay-outs and one starting the free spins bonus game. Ivan Dracanov is the ‘pure’ scatter. 5 of these will win you 200x your total spin amount, with 40x for 4 and 10x for just 3. Jane Wild is the other scatter; there are both prizes and free spins attached to this one. First the prizes, you’ll get 100x, 20x or 5x for 5, 4 and 3 respectively. There are 15 free spins for 5, 12 spins for 4 and 9 spins for 3 Jane Wild symbols – all with a 2x multiplier on any wins.
The last symbol is the Max Cash logo. This is a wild, and often comes stacked. If you get a couple of stacks of these across the reels, it is possible to get many winning combinations at the same time.
Max Cash Bonus Game
There is nothing different on the reels compared to the main game for the free spins bonus. A counter appears on top of the reels. This shows your remaining spins on the left and total wins on the right. All wins are doubled, including the scatters. You can retrigger this bonus with 3+ Jane Wild symbols during play. Stacked wilds are what you’ll want to see a lot of while your bonus rounds are running – these make a huge difference on top of that 2x multiplier.
Max Cash – Conclusion
I’m seeing this slot as a missed opportunity. The graphics and setup – and the general intensity of the game – are really well put together. At the same time there is just not all that much going on. It is like Saucify has deliberately made this slot feel exciting, only to give no proper outlet for that excitement during play. This would be easy enough to fix. Just one or two add-on features, perhaps a pick-em game or some dynamic on-reel action, would really make a difference.
As things stand this is still an entertaining game with great graphics and smooth play. I can’t help thinking about ‘what could have been’ while enjoying this one though. Check it out for yourself soon!
