The grid is designed to resemble a piece of machinery, with pipes and pressure gauges, as is the tab on the right-hand side which records Lines/Stakes. The overall look and feel is very much reminiscent of the popular Candy Crush app, so if you’re a fan of that game, you’re sure to like this one. Candy Crush doesn’t win you cash, after all.
In terms of the game’s coin denominations, the values stretch from 0.01 to 0.50, and up to 50 coins can be staked per spin. As such, the maximum bet per spin costs 25 credits. The jackpot, meanwhile, is 500x the total bet (or 12,500 at maximum bet).
The rules, such as they are, accord with the typical 5-reel slot format: the player is tasked with finding matching combinations of three, four or five symbols on an active payline, starting from the leftmost reel. When you hit a winning combo, the matching symbols vanish from view, causing the icons from above to slot into the vacant space – just like in Candy Crush. In this way, the potential exists for more paying combinations to be created from a single spin of the reels.
Sweet Symbols
Icons in Fizz Factory include jelly babies, white sweets, cola bottles, pink sweets, a Be My Bonus heart scatter, brown sweets, a pink liquorice, yellow sweets, blue sweets and red sweets. Most are regular symbols granting pay-outs in the base game, although the cola bottles symbol is the gateway to the elusive Burp Factory bonus game. The liquorice, meanwhile, is wild, able to stand in for all regular icons to help the player generate wins.
Regular wins include such figures as 2x, 7x and 20x, in the case of three, four or five brown sweets. For the white sweets it’s 3x, 7x and 25x, and for the green jelly babies it’s 3x, 10x or 30x. The cola bottles, meanwhile, pay 3x, 10x and 35x. At the top end, the red sweets pay 5x, 50x or 150x and the blue sweets pay 5x, 100x and 500x. The wild liquorice is also lucrative, granting 75x for four and 500x for five.
Hit four or more of the scatter symbol and you’ll activate a round of eight free spins. Four scatters also entails a 2x multiplier, while five scatters has the added bonus of a 4x multiplier. What’s more, the feature can be re-triggered an infinite number of times. Disappointingly, there are no prizes for hitting three matching scatter icons.
Fizzing with Fun
Fizz Factory is a satisfyingly sugary mobile slot from a truly reputable games provider. While some players have narked about the slot’s responsiveness – apparently there’s a slight lag – there’s much to recommend the title, and fans of Candy Crush will positively love it. The game should provide regular, modest wins, and though the bonus round is somewhat difficult to trigger, attractive wins are possible when it activates.
