The look of Wild Horses takes a little getting used to at first. The game uses pretty basic cartoon style visuals. There are the usual lower value playing card symbols here, along with a gem stone jewel that awards 20, 80, or 400x your line bet. The highest value symbols are the white unicorn and the black horse. They both have the same payout of 40, 150, or 750 coins for landing 3, 4, or 5 of them on any active payline.

Considering that this game is named Wild Horses, a wild symbol featuring somewhere is pretty much a given. The wild symbol in the game is the Wild Horses logo itself. This symbol can take the place of any symbol except for the scatter bonus. If you end up with a board filled with them you get 50,000x your line bet. The scatter symbol is shown by a yin and yang symbol made up of the white unicorn and black horse. Getting three of this scatter symbol anywhere triggers the 10 free spins. You need to pick a side before the spins start though. Are you with the horse or the unicorn? If the side you choose shows up more than the other you get another 10 free spins. Novomatic aptly named this the Horse Power Bonus feature.
It may come as a bit of a shock, considering that this is a Novomatic release, but the bonus features in Wild Horses really do a go a long way in making this game what it is.

Wild Horses is overall a pretty simple game to play from both a visual and gameplay standpoint. The game looks good, but there are better looking games out there. It’s also not packed to the rafters with visual extras like other games are. Despite this it’s still possible to find yourself scoring lots of free spins if your unicorn or horse is the better equine.
As you’d expect from a Novomatic title the variance is medium-high. There will be the occasional down-spell where it seems like you can’t win anything, this up and down nature of game really does make a Wild Horses a true wild ride.
