A random UFC fan has managed to gain a major opportunity in the sport by hijacking a press conference to ask for a chance with Dana White.

The press conference was being held ahead of UFC 308, which will take place this Saturday, October 26 in Abu Dhabi. Around half an hour in, Dorobshokh Nabotov decided to make the most of the opportunity and ask White for a contract.

I’ve never had a manager, I did it all by myself, please give me a chance.”

“I am an undefeated elite athlete from Tajikistan. Nabotov Dorobshokh, nine wins, zero losses,” the brave fighter said. “Dana, I don’t have a question. I came here for a fight on short notice. I’ve never had a manager, I did it all by myself, please give me a chance. Dana, I want to fight in the UFC please give me a chance, I’m ready, please give me, Dana.”

The appeal proved popular with the crowd at the conference, who cheered the bold request from the fighter. White asked a few follow-up questions before telling Dorobshokh to speak to someone in the back, seemingly agreeing to his appeal.

Dorobshokh doesn’t have his contract yet, but he does have a major opportunity to get one. Speaking to TMZ after the press conference, White said: “I’m actually flying to Korea for ‘Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight’ on YouTube. The Korean Zombie is putting on a show. He started his own promotion there. December 14th.

“I’m going to have Korean Zombie put that kid on the card and we’re going to find out what he’s got. If he wins that night I’ll sign him.”
