A supervisor of gaming tables at a Macau casino stole HK$400,000 (US$51,323) worth of casino chips by using sticky tape. The 56-year-old employee had been working at the unnamed casino in Zape since 2007 and robbed chips at least four times.

Property management grew suspicious of the employee’s actions following three incidents last month while she was working. They informed police that they thought a worker stole chips and put them in her trousers before hiding them in her locker while on a break.
The Judiciary Police followed up on the allegations by surveilling the worker. Officers witnessed her stealing a HK$100,000 (US$12,831) chip on Sunday from a roulette table and apprehended her.
Despite her refusal to cooperate with the authorities, police found sticky tape on the palm of her hand which they believe she used to lift the chips from the table without drawing attention to herself. She will be facing a charge of aggravated theft for her actions.
