BetMGM has signed up with another English soccer team, this time securing a Tottenham Hotspur partnership for the next three years. The agreement will see the BetMGM logo appear on the English Premier League (EPL) club’s training kit, although fans will only be able to purchase the gear without the gambling operator’s branding.
plans to host various activations to promote the partnership
As a sports betting partner of the men’s and women’s senior teams, BetMGM logos will appear on media backdrops and advertisements positioned across Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It plans to host various activations to promote the partnership, including running giveaways and fan experiences.
BetMGM said it plans to leverage this relationship to try to grow its customer base, having launched in the UK market in August and then the Netherlands in April, marking the operator’s first steps expanding outside North America.
BetMGM UK Director Sam Behar noted how this is the third agreement the operator has struck with an EPL side over the past week. It also signed an extension to its existing arrangement with Newcastle United and became an official betting partner of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Tottenham Hotspur Chief Revenue Officer Ryan Norys also welcomed the news, saying that one of the big aims of the collaboration is “enhancing customers’ knowledge around responsible gambling.”
