MGM Resorts International has completed the $100m renovation of its Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
“We crafted a space at Mandalay Bay that sets a new standard in excellence and reflects the future of modern meetings, events, and trade shows,” explained Ernest Stovall, Vice President for Hotel Sales with MGM.

The renovation has been taking place for the past 30 months. It includes a complete remake of the 2.1-million-square-foot meeting facility, including upgraded technology infrastructure, additional digital signage, and a redesign towards the property’s tropical theme.
Technological upgrades include the addition of Cat6A Ethernet cabling throughout the center, which supposedly “doubles the frequency of data transmission.” The property also now has 11 video walls, available for brand placement and targeted messaging.
The renovation also included the addition of new fine art. This includes, among others, work by Sarah Anne Johnson and Thandiwe Muriu.
“Our goal is to evolve alongside the meetings industry to meet the needs of the modern customer,” Stovall stated. The upgrades will continue further, with plans for new restaurants and an adult golf bar, Swingers.
