UK odds comparison company Oddschecker is now cementing its position in Italy. The firm has purchased the Italian affiliate SuperScommesse to complement its existing partnerships with the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport and streaming service DAZN.
Catena Media, the previous owner of SuperScommesse, announced that it had sold its Italian operations for a combined €19.8m ($21.5m) on Tuesday as it seeks to exit the market. Those businesses generated revenue of €7.8m ($8.5m) in the 12 months to September 2023, according to Catena.

Following the announcement, Oddschecker explained how it planned to utilize SuperScommesse by leveraging its “deep local expertise.” It said this includes “a team that has proven itself adept at driving sustained growth in the market, allied to a recognizable and trusted local-language brand.”
Oddschecker also confirmed the buyout will add to its Confido Network affiliate partnership. This is an affiliate network founded this month in collaboration with “an elite team of digital marketing experts” with a collective 35 years of experience in the space.
Oddschecker CEO Stuart Simms described SuperScommesse as “the ideal strategic complement to our strong Italian footprint.” The site had more than 650,000 visits in October 2023
