Las Vegas police have arrested a woman who allegedly stole a Rolex watch from a hotel room and tried to escape with it under her wig. The victim returned on his own to the ARIA Resort & Casino room he was sharing with a friend, taking off his $15,000 watch and putting it on the bedside table.
He awoke to his friend coming into the room accompanied by two females. The victim went to put his valuables in the safe when he realized that his watch was no longer there. He proceeded to blame the two females. Security arrived due to the ensuing argument, escorting the four individuals to a holding room and calling the police.
initially denied having any knowledge of the watch’s location
Both women initially denied having any knowledge of the watch’s location. Police saw the victim wearing the watch on surveillance footage when he entered the hotel room. After telling the women this detail, one of them asked if they would be let go if they knew the location of the watch.
The officers told her that the victim was the one who would decide if he wanted to press charges. This led to the procurement of the watch from between her hair and the wig, with the victim “adamant” about still proceeding with charges.
