Minnesota police have finally arrested a man in connection to a novel livestreaming scheme at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel and the Treasure Island Resort & Casino, uncovered by Minnesota’s Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division (AGED) in January.
State authorities arrested Blake Carl Fitzgerald, 40, on Friday, charging the Edina man with three counts of running an illegal gambling operation.
That Fitzgerald remained free for seven months reflects the novelty of a crime the American Gaming Association admitted it had never heard of, and AGED stated it had never encountered before.

According to Friday’s court documents Fitzgerald allegedly used TikTok and Discord to run an illicit gambling operation where he livestreamed himself wagering on slot machines in the two Twin Cities casinos under the direction of his subscribers’ requests.
Fitzgerald faces up to three years in prison.
