Durham Regional Police in Ontario, Canada are offering a $2,000 reward for information on armed robbers who carjacked a luxury SUV near Pickering Casino Resort.
With four suspects still at large, the force shared a media release seeking information on Twitter Wednesday:
In its media release, Durham police stated the suspects arrived at Pickering Casino in “a stolen white Land Rover.” Two of the four then exited the Rover to confront an unnamed woman as she exited her Aston Martin SUV, demanding her keys.
The woman called authorities to the Great Canadian Entertainment subsidiary casino’s parking garage at around 8:45 am on July 17 to report her Aston Martin stolen.
she tried to run into the casino, only for the suspects to apprehend her
In her statement, the woman alleged that instead of handing over her keys, she tried to run into the casino, only for the suspects to apprehend her, steal her handbag, retrieve the keys, and drive off in her car. Perhaps next time she will stick to playing free online slots instead.
Durham police have issued descriptions of two of the four suspects, both males with thin builds and around 5ft 10. The casino parent brand, meanwhile, can at least be relieved the carjacking didn’t happen at their newly opened venture, The Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, Canada’s biggest casino.
