Scarlett was reportedly gambling on Saturday morning with two cousins when a disagreement arose. His cousins allegedly began hitting one another and Scarlett was struck when he tried to intervene.

The 33-year-old then went to his car to retrieve a handgun and proceeded to shoot one of the men.
