Charlie Sheen is going to be a part of the upcoming HBO Max sports-betting-centric series “How to Be a Bookie.” HBO ordered eight episodes of the show in October.

The series lead is actor and comedian Sebastian Maniscalco. He will play a veteran Los Angeles bookie who is struggling to deal with the upcoming legalization of sports betting, as well as unstable clients, co-workers, family, and a hectic lifestyle.

It is unclear what exact role Sheen will have in the show. Perhaps the most interesting part of this, though, is that he will be reuniting with Chuck Lorre, the executive producer and co-creator of “Two and a Half Men.” The pair had a major falling out which ended the now-57-year-old’s eight-season stretch as the show’s lead.

Sheen has a history of engaging in sports betting. One of his ex-wives, Denise Richards, outlined in divorce papers how Sheen would place significant sports wagers each weekend during their marriage. ?

In a New York Times interview in 2012, Sheen said he had given up betting after a big win in which he placed $1m on Manny Pacquiao to beat Oscar De La Hoya.
