A wide-ranging deal
Caesars Sportsbook is now an official mobile sports betting partner of the Buffalo Bills.
fans took advantage of a co-branded giveaway of beanies
The New York-based team announced the multi-year deal on Saturday. This was the same day that the Bills beat the New England Patriots in the Wild Card Playoffs to progress into the Divisional Round. At the game, fans took advantage of a co-branded giveaway of beanies relating to the new agreement.
Through the new partnership, fans will get access to varying types of experiences. The sportsbook operator will get the rights to extensive sponsorship assets, including naming right for the new sportsbook-style premium club lounge at the team’s Highmark Stadium. The new lounge in the existing Business Class Club will open before the beginning of the 2022 NFL season.
Caesars Sportsbook will also have the right to use the team’s marks and logos, as well as provide many different types of hospitality and VIP experiences. The operator will also get exposure across the various types of Bills-related digital and broadcast content.
New fan experiences
As well as engaging with fans in Western New York, Caesars Sportsbook will also get exposure in Southern Ontario as a result of the deal.
In the press release for the new partnership, Caesars Digital co-president Chris Holdren spoke about the opportunity Caesars Sportsbook now has to engage with one of the most passionate fan bases in sports. He said: “We’re ready to welcome Bills fans into the Caesars Empire and offer them access to best-in-class hospitality experiences through our Caesars Sportsbook app.”
Pegula Sports & Entertainment senior vice president of business development Dan Misko also expressed excitement over the agreement. He said: “We look forward to the new attraction Caesars will bring to Highmark Stadium next season, and to working with Caesars Sportsbook for many years to come.”
A major market
Caesars Sportsbook was one of four online sportsbooks that launched in New York on January 8. This was the first time that legal mobile sportsbooks went live in the state. DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetRivers also launched that day. BetMGM has now also entered the market, with a further four sportsbooks likely to launch in the coming months.
The Buffalo Bills have been quick off the mark to capitalize on legal online sports betting in the state. Before signing the deal with Caesars Sportsbook on Saturday, the team already onboarded FanDuel as official mobile sports betting partner. They also have an official casino sponsor in the form of Seneca Resorts & Casinos.
