An expansive partnership
Caesars Sportsbook has signed a multi-year partnership agreement with Madison Square Garden (MSG) Entertainment Corporation and MSG Sports Corporation in New York. The Caesars Entertainment brand announced the deal on Thursday, with Caesars now becoming an official sports betting partner of the New York Rangers and the New York Knicks. Both teams are under the ownership of MSG Sports.
official partner of the MSG Arena and MSG Networks
Caesars is also now an official partner of the MSG Arena and MSG Networks. The news comes on the back of Caesars Sportsbook receiving one of nine online sports betting licenses in New York only last week.
As part of its MSG deal, Caesars Sportsbook will get branded hospitality space at the sports arena in New York City. During all Rangers or Knicks games, Caesars Rewards loyalty program members will gain access to the hospitality lounge. When it opens, it will feature special guest appearances, enhanced activations, and giveaways.
Many aspects to the agreement
As part of the deal, Caesars Sportsbook will also get signage at MSG, visible during television broadcasts, as well as LED messaging in the arena. GardenVision activation and features will also become available on the court. The Caesars Sportsbook logo will appear outside of MSG on digital boards, in addition to featuring within the new Moynihan Train Hall.
Caesars will also receive exposure through the various MSG Entertainment and MSG Sports digital media platforms. Alongside Caesars Sportsbook, MSG Networks is launching a content series called “One Course With JB Smoove.”
MSG Entertainment executive vice president of marketing partnerships Ron Skotarczak commented on the deal. He said: “This partnership will allow us to strengthen our brands’ connection with Caesars customers while providing the company with substantial exposure across our unparalleled set of assets.”
Caesars Digital co-president Eric Hession spoke about Caesars Sportsbook’s impending expansion in New York. He affirmed that by partnering with “legendary New York brands,” the operator will be well-positioned to reach passionate sports fans in the region.
A busy time for expansion
It is an exciting time in New York as online sportsbooks get ready to launch. The current expectation is that the nine license holders, announced last week, will go live in the Empire State by Q1 2022.
This is not the first MSG partnership agreement with a sports betting operator entering New York. BetMGM struck a deal with MSG Sports and MSG Entertainment earlier in November. As a result, the operator is also an official betting partner of the Knicks and Rangers.
