Online slots and table games launched
Rush Street Interactive (RSI)’s BetRivers online casino platform is now live in West Virginia, offering players in the state access to online slots and table games. The launch follows a partnership between the Chicago-based RSI and Century Casinos Inc.’s Mountaineer Park Inc.
The Century Casinos-operated Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort in West Virginia shared news of the BetRivers online casino going live via Twitter:
According to an RSI news release, BetRivers is the “only online casino in West Virginia today where customers can play free bingo games for extra chances to win prizes.”
BetRivers customers in West Virginia can also avail themselves of RSI’s gamified rewards program. The program allows players to redeem their online loyalty points for the chance to win extra prizes via “proprietary bonus games such as online scratch cards, wheel spins and bonus bingo.”
RSI expands Mountaineer State and US footprint
The rollout of RSI’s online casino brand in West Virginia follows the January 28 launch of its BetRivers online sportsbook in the state through a partnership with Rivers Casino Portsmouth.
The go-live of the BetRivers casino platform in West Virginia means RSI’s online casino platform is now active in four states, joining Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, where RSI launched its first online gaming site in September 2016. According to industry market research firm Eilers & Krejcik, RSI was the US’s second-largest online casino operator in Q4 and full-year 2020.
launch will “show players why we are the #1 online casino site in neighboring Pennsylvania”
RSI president Richard Schwartz said in the news release that the latest launch will “show players why we are the #1 online casino site in neighboring Pennsylvania.” He attributed the success of BetRivers’s customer loyalty to “the focus we place on the online casino player” and the creation of original gameplay experiences. “Earning and retaining player trust is core to the BetRivers approach,” Schwartz added.
Blazing an online casino trail
RSI’s online casino focus rose to the fore in October 2020, when its BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse brands were the first to launch live dealer casino games in Pennsylvania. Speaking at the time about the launch of RSI’s Evolution-powered platforms in Pennsylvania, Schwartz said the live dealer games were
the closest you can get online to playing in a land-based casino.”
Following this week’s casino site rollout, the RSI president thanked the West Virginia Lottery Commission for its “trust and partnership.” Schwartz concluded by saying that his firm was looking forward to offering players in the state “safe, convenient and enjoyable online gaming for years to come from a brand they can trust.”
