Powering Nederlandse Loterij
Scientific Games (SG)’s relentless momentum saw it clinch an enhanced sports wagering supply deal with the Dutch National Lottery. The agreement gives Nederlandse Loterij access to SG’s full product suite of digital sports betting products.
access to SG’s full product suite
The August 24 announcement comes after the long-time partners successfully completed an integration process, which married SG’s OpenSports wagering technology with the lottery’s sports betting interface. The updated deal also gives Nederlandse Loterij access to the Las Vegas-based supplier’s managed trading services and full pre-match, in-play, and risk management services.
SG’s sports solutions power 24 lotteries globally. According to an official statement, the global gambling products and services provider was one of the first to receive Responsible Gaming Supplier certification from the World Lottery Association.

With the Nederlandse Loterij now fully powered by SG, the New York Stock Exchange-listed giant has launched six sportsbooks in the last eight weeks, according to a company press release.
pace and quality that are second to none”
Keith O’Loughlin, senior vice president of sportsbook and platforms at the SG Digital division, attributes this fast-growing success to demand. He says it drove the company to totally transform its “ability to deploy world class services at a pace and quality that are second to none.”
As well as powering lotteries worldwide, SG has a strong US strategy of working with the gaming industry’s “forward-thinking tribes”. On August 21, it launched its OpenSports product at FireKeepers Casino Michigan, complementing its sportsbook operations at two New York-based tribal casinos.
Instant lottery games also on offer
As an added cherry on top of the enhanced deal, Nederlandse Loterij will also have access to SG’s instant lottery games. Maurice Meijer, chief technology officer for Nederlandse Loterij, expressed the organization’s contentment with the good working relationship it has established with SG, in addition to “the smooth go-live process”.
Meijer said the move to Scientific Games’ sports betting platform was in line with the lottery’s goal to provide customers with “the best experience”. He observed: “Since enhancing our offering, we’ve received strong customer feedback welcoming the new user interface.”
