Magic Building Online Slot Machine Review
The Magic Building Slot is like a mini soap opera with the cast of characters including a four member family, a dog and a lift attendant all set in the ‘Magic Building’. The word ‘magic’ doesn’t refer to the conventional meaning, as there are no witches or wizards here casting spells - however the fact that you can win a huge amount for landing 6 symbols in a row on a slot which features just 5 reels will have you wondering if there are some strange happenings going on here – all will be explained!
This slot is a cartoon style one; all of the characters are what you might expect to find at a TV cartoon series, the characters not too dissimilar to what you might have found when watching Rug Rats a few years ago. The slot is set against a brickwork background and the reels themselves are very colourful, making for a very friendly looking slot. Every time you achieve a win with any of the characters you’ll see a small animation, which adds to the fun element of the slot. The accompanying sound is both lively and upbeat, although perhaps the best sound is reserved for when you hit the info button and are perusing the pay-out charts and the game rules – this sound is a little strange.
The feature round of the game is the best part of the game, where you’ll gain free spins and the chance to hit that 6 in a row.
Set up and Play for Magic Building Slot
The Magic Building slot is a five reel slot (initially) and has 25 win lines – these customisable so you’ll be able to play between 1 and 25. All of the symbols in the game pay out for landing 3 or more symbols in a row, these having to be landed consecutively from left to right on a win line. The lift attendant is the biggest paying symbol at this stage of the game and pays out 1,000x your coin amount when landing 5 in a row. He also acts as the wild symbol in the game. The two children in the game pay out 500x when landing 5 in a row, while the parents are worth 250x. The playing cards from 9 to Ace make up the remainder of the symbols. During the game, if you move the mouse over any symbol, you’ll see the pay-out for that symbol, which is a handy little extra.
The dog in the game is a scatter symbol where you’ll earn cash prizes – 10, 50 or 150x your coin amount when landing 3, 4 or 5 times on the reels.
Options at the slot include an auto play feature (the slot will run for between 10 and 500 times without interruption), a mute button and a settings button where you can change the speed of the game.
The feature of the game is activated by the only symbol not mentioned yet – the lift. This is another scatter symbol and landing 3 or more of these will set the free spins round in motion.
Magic Building Slot Free Spins Round
The number of spins you’ll start with depends upon how many ‘lift’ scatter symbols you landed the feature with – 10, 15 or 30 spins depending upon whether you hit the symbol 3, 4 or 5 times.
When the free spins start is when this game gets really interesting. To the left of the first column the lift appears and after the spin has taken place, the lift doors open and whichever symbol appears will act as the first symbol on what is now effectively a 6 reel slot. You’ll find a separate pay table for this round with the pay-outs for 6 in a row added. Here the top prize is now 5,000x your coin amount should you land the wild symbol 6 times in a row.
Magic Building Slot – Conclusion
The Magic Building Slot by Leander is an interesting one in the fact that I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. The slot has a welcoming feel, but this isn’t enough reason in itself to like the slot. The bonus feature is also very good, but being the only bonus feature of note, this isn’t enough to make for a top slot either. I guess the combination of the two however makes the slot both enjoyable and fun.
This slot wouldn’t make my top ten by any means, but it is one I would play again without any doubt.
