When you step into a casino, we’re guessing that you’re there with one goal in mind: to leave with a lot more money than you walked in with. That’s the kind of attitude that may have helped the Just for the Win (JFTW) game development studio come up with their long but memorable name. A brand new player in the industry, the studio was launched in 2016, and released their first games in 2017.
Based out of Gothenburg, Sweden, the team at Just for the Win counts about 20 professional developers among their team, representing 11 different nationalities. The firm’s approach to gaming is rather straightforward, and one that players will likely appreciate: they want to create fun experiences for slots lovers, while providing a level of professionalism that operators and customers will appreciate in all of their products.
If you’ve never heard of JFTW before, don’t worry as their games are launched under a partnership with online gambling giant Microgaming. This deal was designed to ensure that Just for the Win’s upcoming games would appear on the Quickfire platform. With over 400 brands using Quickfire, this means that a lot of players enjoy the JFTW collection in their casinos without even knowing about it.

Still, business deals like that one usually aren’t all that interesting to gamblers, who are focused on one thing over all others: the games themselves. Thankfully, Just for the Win has started to preview their first creation for the public. That occurred at the 2017 ICE Totally Gaming show in London, where they offered up a viewing of their first slot machine: Goldwyn’s Fairies.
Launched in 2017, Goldwyn’s Fairies is a 20-line, five-reel slot machine that uses a magical, almost ethereal theme. It’s a game filled with the titular fairies themselves, as well as everything else you’d expect in such a mystical world: like colorful gems and plenty of enchanted symbols.
The machine also features some rather interesting special features. For instance, some of the game’s wild icons are special re-spin wilds, which can trigger instant free reel re-spins for users. Hitting three scatters can also earn players a trip into a free spins game, where they’ll get 10 additional plays. It’s a neat little package with a fun theme that we think many players will enjoy trying out.
Try out other popular games in their range, such as Deco Diamonds Deluxe, Elven Gold, or Amazing Aztecs to get a feel for the diverse topics and innovative features.
This isn’t a team of green developers who don’t know what they’re doing: even the initial team that started the company had more than 40 years of combined experience in the iGaming industry, across the Swedish gambling market and from abroad, and the team has added even more industry veterans since then.
What we can say, however, is that this is a group that has set themselves up tremendously well for success. By grabbing a place on the Microgaming Quickfire platform, JFTW has ensured that players from around the world will get a chance to play their slots in the months and years to come. That’s a huge victory for the company as it attempts to establish itself in the iGaming landscape. It would also be a major win for players if this studio lives up to its promise. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this up-and-coming software provider, and we recommend that you do, too.
