Full Metal Dragon Slots
When you read this title you’ll probably go through a couple of stages of speculation: is this a martial arts game, is it a fantasy themed one, are the dragons scary or cute, is it dragons meet Full Metal Jacket? It’s none of those. This slot machine from Games Warehouse is probably the most unique title you’ll ever come across, and that’s a rare claim to make; this game is about heavy metal loving dragons.
These scaly fellows come in all shapes and varieties, but there’s one thing that unites them and that’s their love of metal. And to rock. Judging by the soundtrack that accompanies the game, they do that a lot and crank it up loud. As if the theme wasn’t quirky enough, it has an unbelievable amount of modifiers and features to savour along the way, making it great looking, effortlessly cool, and hugely rewarding. It’s a triple whammy!
Rock n Roll!
You’ll find yourself in a fired up dungeon – for these dragons it’s the only place where they can truly rock. The aesthetics of the setting itself look quite retro and blocky, as if you’re playing a late 90s video game, but it works so well with the general theme that you can’t help but enjoy it. It’s just something else that this slot machine does well.
Mad Skills, Bro
Along the 5 reels and 20 paylines is where the action will take place, and that action can come at you in a lot of ways. Firstly players have the Dragon’s Eye feature, which can only ever land on the middle feel, but when it does it can expand into several different options: wild modifier, expanding wilds, and multiplying wilds.
If the first option should occur, the eye will open up to reveal one of the symbols upon the reels, selecting it as the wild for the round. Then all the other symbols along the reel that match will assume the identity of the wild. Next up is the expanding option, which sees the eye grow big and claim the whole reel for itself, and then there’s the multiplying wilds feature. A multiplier of between x2 and x5 can be applied during this time.
Light ‘Em up!
Now we’ll move onto the bonus rounds that can entertain you throughout your rocking journey, with the free spins as the first of this extravaganza. The symbol will burst into flames just as the free rounds start, to let you know what you’ve won, and then 10 waves on the house will come into effect. Should that Dragon’s Eye pop up during this time, you can get some seriously impressive wins.
Moving on you have the two interlinked bonus rounds, which start off with the Amp Stack Feature. Here you will see a wall of speakers which you have to make your way up and across them to reach the glowing drum kit symbol; it may sound easy but it’s anything but. Thankfully you can get a lot of multipliers along the way which will make up for your losses if you don’t reach the end.
If you reach the drums then it’s game on for the dragons! You play away, crashing and banging those drums, revealing wins as you go, all of which have a multiplier slapped onto them. Alone it would feel rather basic, but combined with everything else this round is epic.
Wowee
Full Metal Dragon is where it’s at, this game really brings it and sets the bar for all upcoming slot machines. It has everything a player could ever need, and even if you dislike the theme you’ll soon look past it thanks to all those rewards. A big 5 out of 5.
