Zeus: King of Gods Slot Machine
What Do You Know About Zeus?
He is one of the most well known gods from Greek mythology and as such has made an appearance across multiple mediums, though many may remember him from Disney’s Hercules. Known as a god of not only the weather but of justice and in turn law, he is an all seeing all knowing power unlike any other. A foreboding giant.
Zeus: King of Gods is a 5-reel, 20-payline slot machine that has a crackling energy from beginning to end, with a whole load of manic twists and turns in the middle. All of which is watched over by those white glowing eyes of Zeus himself. It is an awesome game both in variance, appearance and sound, and as such it demands your respect at all times - you don’t want to upset one of the greatest Greek gods… do you?
Humble Beginnings
Although he is known as the king of the gods for good reason, the amount you have to bet to play his game is really small, showing that this great force of nature has a humble side alongside his scary one. And boy, he is scary, slot machine game or not.
The line bet part of the control panel is where you will be able to increase or decrease your stake, with the starting point being 0.05 and climbing upwards to 50.00, which isn’t the highest bet configuration that has been in a Gameplay title.
As for the 20 lines this amount is placed on, individually, they’re fixed and therefore cannot be reduced or changed, which means you may want to double check your bank account before you place too high a stake. Remember, the maximum bet of 50.00 credits on all 20 paylines will equal 1,000 coins! If you have it though, and are feeling brave enough to take on a god, by all means click that max bet widget.
The autoplay feature has an equally giving range, allowing users to automatically trigger from 1 to 100 games at any one time, a convenient must have for any slot worth its salt. Normally we’d stop there, but this title has a double up option we need to discuss.
Before you can activate it you need to have won a small amount back, once that’s done select it and you’ll face Zeus off in a heads or tails style risk game. All you have to do is guess what will come up next, heads or tails, with the bet being the cash you’ve just won – if you win you double what you’ve got, but if you lose it goes bye bye. Brutal like the god himself.
Awe Inspiring
Locked away inside a shimmering golden hall is where the matrix sits, with Zeus as its watchful protector, gazing at both it and you to try and determine whether you’re worthy of the wealth it holds.
The money to be gained here varies and increases steadily, but as you’d expect from a game such as this, the base payout amount is quite awesome: 10,000 credits can be won if you find five wilds! You can also get a smaller 1,000 when you find five of Zeus, which is yet another reason to put this slot to the top of your favourite games list. We’re talking some serious cash prizes here.
Fortunately for us, there is a bonus round to make up for that fact, which has a multiplier hidden away inside. And what do multipliers mean? They mean more money! If you get the bonus icon on either reel 1 or 5 you will be taken to a new screen where there are three magnificent Zeus statues.
Players need to select one and a number of free games will be given to them that can add up to 20 free spins. After that you then select one of the six images before you to determine the multiplier attached to this round; essentially it’s a fancy scatter feature dressed up as something else, but we’ll take it.
What a God
Zeus: King of Gods is a fantastic game, with the only issue being that bonus round as it feels like a cheat to us. Gameplay has a lot of other titles with much more giving mini levels and so it feels like more could have been done to improve the gameplay. Nevertheless, it still bags you lots of money, as does the base game. And have we mentioned it looks amazing?!
