Happy Mushroom Slots
With the summer temperatures reaching the highest for the year, it really is the perfect time for a refreshing picnic as part of a leisurely stroll. But Happy Mushroom is far from your culinary walk in the park. And though there’s nothing wrong with a traditional picnic (okay apart from the wasps), it’s nice to try one out in a fantasy land. So what makes Eyecon’s Happy Mushroom and its 95.06 return to player ratio such a happy adventure?
Don’t Worry, Be Happy
Thanks to the visuals, it really is hard to play Happy Mushroom with a straight face. It really will make you smile. And that’s even before you’ve started playing. While on other games Aces, Kings, Queens and Jacks are represented by a standard first letter, here they are delightfully part of the creativity. The A is a mushroom top, the K is made up of carrots and a slug, the Q is a snail while the J has a mushroom on top. Not forgetting the 10 that has furry ears.
The other symbols are probably even more fun. The owl moves about even when the game is inactive (and hoots when there are two or more on screen), the mushroom has a big smile on its face, the ladybird looks like it is waving and the basket contains fun coloured mushrooms. Most people’s favourite will probably be the little white bunny holding a carrot, though there’s also a sideways wooden barrel that just yearns to be opened and a gorgeous rotating pink rose.
The merriness is continued with the understated music, which gets even nicer when you win. The background is in keeping with the happy fantasy tone by having windmills and majestic trees. You can play for as little as 0.01 and it’s really easy to change your lines to the exact number you want, up to 25.
Owl Be Having Some of That
The funky mushroom is where it’s all at. If you get 3 scattered mushrooms within the 5 reels, you get a bonus. You get to pick 3 mushrooms from the 5 and can get up to 100x the original wager. It can be triggered during free games and prizes are awarded together.
But owls are pretty useful too. If you get 3 consecutive scattered owls it’s worth 15 free games, while 4 are valued at 20 and 5 gets you 25 free slots. If you get 2 owls, you double your bet, while 3 owls plays 5x your bet, 4 owls 20x and 5 owls equals 100x. Owzat!
For each scatter, the highest win only is added to the line wins. Prizes for line wins and scatter wins are doubled during bonus games. What’s also useful is that free games, which are played using the same paylines and wager, can be retriggered.
The pink flower substitutes for all symbols, except for the owls and mushroom. The flower only appears on reels 2 and 4, so it will be a great feeling when you get it. You’ll also get the flower power feeling as prizes are doubled when the substitute symbol appears in a line.
Not so Blurred Lines
Appropriately the cutest symbol is worth the most in terms of line winnings. Five pink-cheeked bunnies are worth 5,000 line wins, with 4 being valued at 500, 3 at 25 and 2 giving 5. Fitting too, that it’s holding a carrot and not a stick. Next up is the ladybird worth up to 1,000 line wins, and the barrel and basket being worth 500. These are followed by the Ace worth 300, King and Queen giving 200, and Jack and 10 giving 100 free line wins, though you need at least three to gain anything.
The gamble button is pretty straightforward. Pressing it will take you to a different background where you have the decision of going for red or black or by selecting spade or black. The gamble bonus round is available to play 5 times in a row where you can win the maximum of 30,000 credits. Kerching!
Mushroom for Fun
What’s nice it just how simple it is to find everything. It’s really easy to change the bet or number of lines and you’ll want to get going straight away. You can also use the autoplay button which has different settings of 10, 20, 50 or 100 spins. The rules are easy to find under the Options button. There may not be a story linking it all together, but it really will give you a pleasant feeling.
