The possibilities are endless, not to mention a few dinosaur eggs ready to hatch and unleash some original bonuses when you least expect it. So get ready for a challenge and a fun betting experience, and don’t forget to check out our full review of Rolling Stone Age before you place your first bet.
When the Dinosaurs Ruled
Rolling Stone Age is going to impress many players thanks to its great 3D graphics. The action is taking place tens of thousands of years into the past, in an alternate universe where cavemen and dinosaurs roamed the earth side by side. The background is entirely occupied by a thick jungle with the reels designed to look like giant stone wheels spinning in the foreground.
The command buttons frame the reels on both sides, just like in most Core Gaming slots, and overall Rolling Stone Age has a dynamic and very enjoyable atmosphere. The game might lag a little if you are playing on a slow computer, but nothing too annoying in the end. What is more original in Rolling Stone Age is the gameplay, which we will look at next.
Add Extra Reels Freely
As promised, Rolling Stone Age stands out from the rest of the games on the market thanks to its dynamic gameplay. You can bet from 0.20 to 100 credits per turn, which activates paylines and adds reels on the screen at the same time. You can play on 3, 5 or 7 reels with a maximum of 50 paylines available.
Rolling Stone Age also features an autospin game mode, in case you want to stick to the same parameters for several consecutive spins. All wins pay from the central reels and outwards, to the left and to the right.
The game’s RTP varies from 92% to 94.09%, and coupled with a high volatility this makes Rolling Stone Age challenging, to say the least. The paytable contains card icons, dinosaurs and cavemen for a maximum reward of x100.
It will take time and luck to score big wins in the base game, and we had to rely heavily on the bonus features to hit some big cash prizes in Rolling Stone Age. Fortunately, the game is quite generous in that department.
Hatch the Eggs for Some Extra Features
Rolling Stone Age has two different upgrade bonuses, the first one being the green raptor random upgrade. It is only available when playing on less than 7 reels, and you can win up to 8 free spins thanks to it. The second upgrade is the “dinomite”: a big explosion that adds wilds on up to 50 paylines at once, no questions asked.
Then you have the 3 different bonus dino eggs. The yellow egg will add wilds on the reels and award free spins, the purple eggs awards up to 20 free games with stacked wilds and a multiplier (up to x5), and the blue egg freezes wilds into place while giving players up to 50 free games.
On top of all this, Rolling Stone Age includes three progressive jackpots that can be won at any time; just keep an eye on the jackpot metres at the top of the screen to see where you stand.
A Challenge for all Players out There
Rolling Stone Age is, as promised, a very challenging game with beautiful graphics and an original, highly customisable gameplay. The volatility being sky-high, you will need to play big in order to win big here.
The many original bonuses still make the experience fun and entertaining, but this game is probably best enjoyed by high rollers and risk lovers in the first place.
Rolling Stone Age being so original in terms of gameplay, you might be hard-pressed to find an equivalent anywhere else on the market. But if you were to try Titan Thunder from Quickspin then you would spin be able to find some similarities, which a lower variance as well.
