Any Seven: Also known as “Big Red,” this is a bet that the next roll will be a seven.
Back Line: Another name for the “Don’t Pass” area of the betting layout.
Betting Right: Slang for betting on the Pass Line.
Betting Wrong: Slang for betting on the Don’t Pass Line.
Come Bet: A bet identical to the Pass bet, but made at any time other than the come-out roll.
Come-Out Roll: The first roll in a round of craps, and the only time when Pass or Don’t Pass bets can be made.
Crap Out: A term for rolling a 2, 3, or 12 on the come-out bet.
Cold Table: A table where sevens are being rolled frequently after a point is established, meaning Pass bets are frequently losing.
Front Line: Another name for the Pass Line.
Hardway: Rolling a specific number (4, 6, 8, or 10) by rolling a pair rather than any other combination.
Hard Number: A 4, 6, 8, or 10 which is rolled via a pair, such as a pair of threes making a “hard six.”
Hot Table: A table where the shooter is continually winning for Pass bets by winning on come-out rolls or rolling points afterwards.
Insurance Bet: Another name for a hedge bet, one that will pay off if another bet you made has lost.
Lay Bet: A bet similar to laying the odds, though with a 5% commission paid to the casino on your bet.
