The basic game is only played with one credit per spin so it’s a simple way to keep the betting low. But the basic game is far from boring as it features a special bonus ladder which gradually lights up. Every time you spin without winning, another piece gets lit up until you eventually fill the whole ladder. Once this happens the joker transforms into a wild symbol which means it can replace any of the other symbols to create a winning combination.
Once you’ve won, the ladder resets back to the start and you can begin to climb back up again!
The top game is played with a higher stake, with bets of 5, 10 or 20 credits per spin of the reels. There’s five paylines in play and there’s a wild symbol too, rather than only being activated as a bonus. If you bet with either 10 or 20, you’ll get an extra chance to win if you spin the Wild symbol but don’t strike a lucky combination. You’ll be able to spin again but you’ll have to match two symbols on the next turn to nab a prize! This means that if you’re betting with 10, you’ll need to keep an eye on reels 1 and 2, while a bet of 20 allows you to match two symbols on either reels 1 and 2 or 2 and 3.
