Despite being called Times Square Casino, this isn’t a land-based casino so don’t go looking for it in New York. Times Square Casino is virtual only, which means you can access it from pretty much anywhere on the web. That’s the beauty of playing at casinos with a Curacao gaming license; they tend to be pretty lax about who they allow to play. Compared to casinos licensed in stricter municipalities at least, Curacao operators are less fussy about who plays at them. On the homepage featured slider, sure enough there’s Times Square in the background, its famous advertising hoardings replaced with ones advertising video slots and other casino games.
You’ll also spot a few of NY’s iconic yellow taxis whizzing past, but before you even scroll that far you’ll encounter a distinctive logo that looks like something out of the movie Tron. Electric neon colours look lurid against the black background that forms the site’s primary colours. Available in around a dozen languages, Times Square Casino is designed for players from Europe primarily with an emphasis on Russia and Scandinavia. In truth though, if you can access the site from your territory, you’ll be able to sign up and get involved.
Game Tech Group are the operators of Times Square Casino. Together with a subsidiary named Supaze Limited of Voukourestiou, who are based in Cyprus, they take care of running this very black and very busy site. There’s a lot going on here, although that effect is due in part to the images of traffic and pedestrians whizzing by in New York City, which gives the whole place a hectic, bustling feel. The site is a little slow to load, although nothing that should cause you to give up altogether and seek your custom elsewhere.
The About page uses faintly antiquated language to refer to the sort of gaming experience it provides, one which can be enjoyed “from the comfort of your home computer”. It’s fair to say that this is a site which is aimed at desktop rather than mobile users. If you require customer support while using the site, there’s a contact submission form, or live chat which you can use. There is no telephone support. An FAQ covers some bases, even if it doesn’t answer questions in any great detail. The site, while functional, isn’t exactly the newest or most user friendly you’ll encounter, put it that way.
The default currency at Times Square Casino is the Euro and in terms of payment methods, you can use Skrill, debit card and instant banking. The full list of available deposit methods is only available when you log in to your account which isn’t ideal for first-time visitors to the site. The FAQ provides no useful information about withdrawals or deposits so good luck with that one.
You’d be advised to contact customer support to find out more if you’re so inclined. Judging by the payment provider logos which are visible at the bottom of the page, you can use Paysafecard, Neteller, MasterCard and Maestro to deposit funds too. Why Times Square Casino can’t simply put all of this information on a simple banking page is anyone’s guess.
The primary enrichment to be claimed in the form of bonus cash comes after you’ve signed up and made your first deposit. That’s when you’ll be awarded a 300% bonus on your first three deposits worth up to €1,200. This cash is subject to a 35x wagering requirement before it can be withdrawn. Unfortunately, this promotion is ambiguously explained on the site so it isn’t clear whether you can claim up to €1,200 with each deposit or cumulatively. It says in one place that the maximum welcome bonus is capped at €1,000 per player which makes little sense.
There’s also a 15% bonus to be claimed when you use certain deposit methods. The following methods will be eligible for this bonus cash: Ukash, Neteller, Skrill, PostePay, Giropay and Sofort. This offer comes with a 25x wagering requirement. Other bonuses available at Times Square Casino include a high roller bonus of €2,000 when you deposit €500. 50% cashback is also available on your first three deposits. In summary, the various bonuses available at this site appear to be generous but also confusing.
Type | Amount | Match | Playthrough | Claim |
---|---|---|---|---|
Welcome Package | €1,200 | 300% | 35x | Claim Bonus |
There’s a VIP club in operation at Times Square Casino, one which awards players with 1 comp point for every €10 they deposit. Once you’ve amassed 100 comp points, you’ll be able to exchange these for €1. Because you can level up to higher tiers, you’ll get the opportunity to earn points at a higher rate as you go. The levels are as follows: Silver, Gold, Platinum and Black. To reach the uppermost tier, you’ll need to have deposited over €25,000, which seems an awful lot of work just to claim 20% more points than you will at the bottom tier.
There’s a selection of slots available at Times Square Casino that can best be described as ‘interesting’. On the one hand, these games include a number of lesser known titles, which makes a change from the usual games that show up at every other casino. On the other hand, it’s debatable just how much time you’ll want to spend rolling the reels of Fashion Slot or Trump It. Still, they’re an eclectic bunch if nothing else, so by all means have a good look through the selection that can be viewed on the homepage and see if anything takes your fancy. There’s a search bar to make it easier to search for games and you can also filter results according to developer.
By default, the slots are mixed in with all the other games on the homepage, but there is a dropdown menu that enables you to jump straight to your favoured category. There’s a pretty good live casino actually with more than a dozen games to choose from including VIP Blackjack, Club Roulette, Golden Ball Roulette and Sizzling Hot Roulette. The virtual games section is also well stocked including the likes of Caribbean Poker, Six Shooter, Rally Hi-Lo, Magic Poker, Odd One In, Reels of Fortune and Micro Roulette.
Given that it was supposedly founded in 2017, Times Square Casino doesn’t look particularly up to date. It’s reasonably functional, but there’s not a lot here that would appeal to the average player; mobile players in particular are excluded. There seems to be a reasonable range of deposit options but it’s annoying that there isn’t more information regarding withdrawal times and limits. In terms of games, the live casino is probably the best part of Times Square Casino. The slots aren’t bad in terms of the number of games available but the quality of these is so-so. Times Square Casino then: okay, but not nearly as interesting as the famous plaza it’s modelled on.
