According to its slogan, Bingo Yard is “your favorite playground”. That's assuming you have a list of playgrounds that you rank in order of favourite to least favourite. The favourite that appears written at the top of the homepage is spelled the American way, which is a little curious given that this is a British site targeted at British players. In fairness, content writing isn't one of the strong points of Cassava Enterprises whose multiple bingo sites are frequently riddled with text areas that make little to no sense. In that context, an Americanised spelling is the least of their problems.
Bingo Yard is a very narrowly designed site, one that leaves a lot of space in the sidebars. This is fine on desktop, but the site probably isn't quite so suited to mobile play. Elements of the site don't make a lot of sense such as a picture towards the bottom of the screen displaying a computer monitor with the text “Games screenshots” written over it. Is this an error and was there supposed to be pictures of bingo games here or is this genuinely what it was intended to say? Knowing Cassava Enterprises, it's probably just a mistake.
Bingo Yard is operated by Cassava Enterprises Ltd who are based in Gibraltar and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner. The players at Bingo Yard almost certainly hail from the UK for the site is licensed by the Great Britain Gambling Commission, with the licence issued to 888 UK Limited who own Cassava Enterprises. There is also Virtual Digital Services Ltd, who are responsible for players accessing the site from within the European Union.
The 888 group who own Cassava Enterprises are a global leader in gaming services and have extensive experience within this sector. All of the games that can be found on the site have been independently audited to ensure fair play and maximum privacy for members. If you need to get hold of customer support, you can do so 24 hours a day by email or by calling a freephone UK number which is available from 9am till 1am.
If you're wondering where the banking section is, you will find it in the frequently asked questions section. At least, you'll find information about withdrawals. Strangely but persistently, Cassava Enterprises never supply deposit information. It is as if they assume that you will automatically know what options are allowed and disallowed.
For what it's worth, the withdrawal options include credit and debit card, cheque, Neteller, wire transfer and PayPal. Withdrawal requests take 48 hours to be processed and then another two to three days minimum until funds are released. For deposits you can probably use credit or debit card, Neteller and PayPal, although this is only guess work. Bingo Yard doesn't specify whether there is a maximum or minimum withdrawal or deposit limit.
There is bonus cash to be claimed when you sign up at Bingo Yard. Unfortunately, due to the bad design of the site, it doesn't actually specify what percentage will be awarded by way of a casino bonus. All it says is that you can deposit funds and receive up to £100 in bonus cash and that the minimum deposit amount is £10. Is this a 10% bonus? 100%? 1 million percent? There’s really no way of knowing. Whatever the case, this bonus cash is subject to a 4x wagering requirement before it can be withdrawn.
Type | Amount | Match | Playthrough | Claim |
---|---|---|---|---|
Welcome Bonus | £100 | 100% | 4x | Claim Bonus |
There's also a promotions page at Bingo Yard but it is all but useless for there aren’t any proper promotions to be found here. Instead you will find the same tired bingo games that are trotted out at all Cassava Enterprises sites and which don't look that great to begin with at one site, never mind at several hundred such sites. Highlights include a game called Zodiac Bingo which has a monthly jackpot of £1,111 and also a £1,000 jackpot on the 15th of every month in the Grab a Grand game. It's worth noting that other sites, especially those connected to the Live Bingo Network, offer prizes that dwarf these on a daily basis.
90-ball, 75-ball and High Five at the three types of bingo games that can be played at Bingo Yard. Naturally, they are the same three bingo games that can be played at all Cassava Enterprises sites. The 90-ball game is the most popular of them all and originated in Britain. There are three ways to win in this game by completing one line, two lines or full house which is three lines on a ticket. With a 75-ball game there's just one way to win and with High Five there a five ways to win because numbers can be completed diagonally, horizontally and vertically.
The various bingo games that can be played at Bingo Yard often have coverall jackpots in which there is a guaranteed minimum sum to be won starting at £50 for the smaller games and rising to as much as £1,500. The games commence from 8 in the morning and run right through til midnight, with most games repeating every half hour. There are also the progressive jackpot games which operate in the evening and are named Diamonds Are Forever, House Party and Swedish Jackpot.
Because Bingo Yard is another lazily cloned Cassava Enterprises site, the same depressingly familiar games can be found in the featured games category. That being said, some of these games are actually pretty good, as is the case with Jack and the Beanstalk, Starburst, Wizard of Oz and Gonzo’s Quest. These games, plus perhaps the X Factor slot and Bruce Lee 2, are worth going out of your way to play.
The other games aren't always quite so good but at least some of these have progressive jackpots in which it is possible to win £10,000 or more. These should work on mobile but there doesn't appear to be any information at Bingo Yard regarding mobile play and, given that the site as a whole isn’t optimised for mobile, you’d fare better playing at another site, even one run by Cassava Enterprises that is more up-to-date.
Despite its cheery mascot featuring a grinning yellow bingo ball, there is very little to recommend about this site. The design is poor, information is lacking and there are very few reasons why you might want to play at Bingo Yard. In particular, its design really isn't suited to tablet or mobile, making this one for desktop users only, a gradually shrinking demographic.
The fact that the site can't even manage to explain what kind of a welcome bonus is available shows just how badly designed and ill thought out it is. In case you haven't already gathered from reading this review, you really can do better than Bingo Yard. Your favourite playground? Unlikely.
