Is this a bingo site or a lottery site? Actually, it's a bit of both but the emphasis is on bingo. There are a couple of tabs in the top menu marked Lottery Home and Lottery Tickets but clicking on these will lead you to an entirely new site that explains that it has a different licensing agreement in place. This can all seem a little bit confusing, but once you get a feel for how Bingo Lottery works it starts to make a bit more sense.
Essentially, all of the bingo play is conducted on Bingo Lottery and all of the lottery play is held on a different site. Of course there is a case for arguing that bingo is also a lottery game, but let’s not go there. All that matters for the purposes of this review is it that you can play a wide range of popular bingo games including 90 and 75-ball bingo at Bingo Lottery.
Bingo Lottery is operated by Cassava Enterprises Ltd, a company who are based in Gibraltar and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner. They are also part of the 888 group who are a large gaming conglomerate. They hold a licence issued by the Great Britain Gambling Commission to 888 UK Limited. There is also a company named Virtual Digital Services Ltd who hold a gaming licence that enables them to offer their services to players within the European Union. Bingo Lottery is a Europe-wide enterprise, although most of it players hail from Great Britain.
All of the games that can be played at Bingo Lottery have been independently audited to ensure that they provide fair play and honest payouts. The site also makes mention on its About page to its commitment to maintaining security, privacy and fair play. In addition to bingo, there's a range of other games that can be played at Bingo Lottery, mostly slots with names such as Wizard of Oz and Jack and the Beanstalk.
There is a tab marked Deposit in the left hand sidebar of the site, but clicking on it will take you to a login page. If you'd like to find out about deposit options you will need to click on the FAQ and then click on the section entitled ‘How do I cash out and get paid?’ Here you will learn that your withdrawal options are credit or debit card, cheque, Neteller, wire transfer or PayPal.
Deposit options aren’t stated, but given that this site is operated by Cassava Enterprises, it is likely that your deposit options include all of the foregoing minus wire transfer and cheque. Withdrawal requests take 48 hours to be processed. After this, the quickest you will receive your money it is in 2 to 3 additional days, rising to about 5 days for a credit or debit cards that aren't UK Mastercard. Bingo Lottery doesn't specify whether there is a minimum withdrawal or deposit amount.
There is a 100% first deposit match when you sign up at Bingo Lottery. There is also up to 15% in cashback offered as part of a loyalty scheme that the site operates. Elsewhere, you’ll learn of the prospect for winning free spins and up to £10,000 in bingo tickets to be claimed. Various offers are promoted on the homepage of the site but when you click through to the promotions page there is no evidence of them to be found. Instead you’re confronted by the generic promotions page that surfaces at all Cassava Enterprises sites.
Type | Amount | Match | Playthrough | Claim |
---|---|---|---|---|
Welcome Bonus | £100 | 100% | 4x Bingo/99x Slots | Claim Bonus |
This is more than a little disconcerting, because it is hard or even impossible to discover the promotions spoken about on the homepage. Instead you can learn on the promotions page about various other deals such as Weekend Wad which dispenses an extra £700 in cash prizes each weekend and Happy Hour which runs between 4pm and 6pm on Mondays.
The bingo games that can be played at Bingo Lottery should be familiar to anyone who was ever entered another Cassava Enterprises site in the past. There are three types of games that can be played here, 90-ball, 75-ball and High Five bingo. Instructions on how to play these games is provided on the site, although given that these are hardly the most complex of games, you may decide that you can manage without these. Most of the games that can be played at Bingo Lottery revolve around 90 or 75-ball, but there are a few High Five bingo games as well.
The jackpot games have a guaranteed coverall pot that ranges between £50 and £1,500. These games are held every day of the week starting at 8am and running all the way through till midnight. If you’d like to win an even larger sum, you could try one of the progressive jackpot games such as Diamonds Are Forever. This is a 75-ball game with a top prize that regularly runs to as much as £5,000. The other progressive games are named House Party and Swedish Jackpot.
The games that can be found at Bingo Lottery over and above bingo are primarily slots and associated mini games. Just as the promotion page on the site is the generic one that appears at all Cassava Enterprises sites, the featured games section is also generic, with nothing new to differentiate it from the sister sites owned by the same company. Nevertheless, there are some good games that can be played here even if they are commonplace and rolled out at hundreds of other sites on the web.
Notable games include Gonzo’s Quest, Wizard of Oz, Fruit Shop, Bruce Lee 2 and the X Factor video slot. There are plenty of progressive jackpot slots that can be played here too such as Fluffy Favourites and Temple of Isis. With some of these games the highest prize that can be won may be £10,000, £50,000 or even more. All of these games should work on mobile and tablet as well as on desktop devices. There are no classic casino games that can be played at Bingo Lottery so you won't find roulette or blackjack here.
Bingo Lottery feels like a misleading site. This is basically just a bingo website given that all of the lottery links direct to a third party site that is unrelated. The fact that a separate gaming licence is required to operate lottery-style games could be the reason for this, though this is only speculation. Whatever the case, it is confusing in that you arrive on this site thinking you'll be able to choose from a selection of bingo games and lottery games only to discover that you are limited to bingo only.
The promotions available at the site are badly explained and don't look particularly enticing in any case. While the site makes mention of big jackpots, with one worth £1 million apparently to be won every week, this isn't really followed through either or satisfactorily explained. Bingo Lottery isn't a duel bingo and lottery site, merely a bingo site and one that can best be described as average.
