Enchanted Beauty Slot Machine
Enchanted Beauty is a 5-reel slot from NuWorks, a developer whose profile remains low but whose output remains prolific. It’s not always the developers that shout the loudest that warrant the closest attention, and NuWorks are a fine example.
You won’t see their games plastered across the web; they’re limited to just a handful of casinos. If you can track down Enchanted Beauty however you’ll be rewarded with a game that’s every bit as enchanting as its name.
Prince and princess slots are ten a penny, and yet Enchanted Beauty doesn’t look or feel like your average fairytale romp. For one thing, many of its symbols are not synonymous with cliched happy ever afters – a ladybird? A toadstool?
Others, however, have clearly received a sprinkling of magic dust such as the golden horned unicorn and a pointy-eared troll.
Aesthetically, it’s something of a mixed bag from NuWorks. They’re not the most modern of gaming companies when it comes to design and while some elements of Enchanted Beauty look great, others suffer. The magical symbols, for example, look like something straight out of a storybook. The stag symbol, however, looks like Eddie Izzard in drag.
Reels and Things
Before we get to the features of Enchanted Beauty, it’s worth taking a moment to outline the controls. The large green spin button to the bottom right of the screen is easy enough to make out, but there’s a lot of other features clustered around it.
Want the reels to roll faster? There’s a button for that – one with 5 speed settings no less. There’s an autoplay function, with 3 buttons below to determine whether it should play 5, 10 or 25 spins before resuming manual play. There are also controls for the bet per line and the number of active paylines which can range from 1-25. To the left of the screen, there’s a cashier button and balance is also displayed.
NuWorks have layered buttons all around the reels in this game, just as they seem to do with all their slots. The paylines that winning combos have landed on will light up on the left and right hand side of the reels in play. There’s also a link to Help and Rules cunningly disguised in a vertical button on the far left of the screen and a similar link to the paytable on the extreme right.
Beautiful Booty
If you’re wondering why Enchanted Beauty has multiple jackpots, you’re not alone. Don’t complain though: it works in your favour. NuWorks have been pretty clever here, not just in specifying several jackpots, but in making one of them a jackpot pyramid. What exactly is a pyramid jackpot? It’s a feature that NuWorks have built into a handful of their slots and it obliges the player to specify an amount they’d like to wager on this feature.
The higher the stake you place, the better your chances of activating the feature. When it does activate, you’ll proceed through a pyramid from the bottom up, collecting idols that lie in wait behind each door. The higher you climb, the more you’ll win.
To the top right of the screen, you can view the value of the bet you’ve set on the jackpot pyramid and you’ll also see the odds of it being triggered during play. To the top left, meanwhile, you’ll see the value of the game’s other jackpots, named the grand, maxi, major, minor and mini. That’s a lotta jackpots but that simply means there’s a lotta money for you to win.
Tiptoe through the Forest
The aim of the game is to make your way through the enchanted forest to the enchanted castle, collecting bugs, fairies and other symbols along the way. The prince and princess symbols are the game’s most precious pairing; they both serve as wild and the princess will only appear on reel 1. Either symbol will substitute for any of the other symbols except for the unicorn, which is scatter.
In addition to the pyramid jackpot, . This is triggered by landing the princess on reel 1 and her suitor on reel 2. This will then give you a choice of wins: 6 respins and double prizes or 12 respins and normal prizes. Alternatively, you can choose 4 respins with prizes tripled and so on all the way down to 2 respins with prizes multiplied 6-fold.
Enchanted Beauty is another well designed game from NuWorks. Aside from a few strange looking symbols, this game is great fun to play and with jackpots galore, you stand every chance of picking up some serious cash.
