Big Boss

Big Boss Slots

The mob is a huge part of the daily grind when you experience the 5-reels and 30 winlines of this gangster of a slot, Big Boss. Brought to you by Nucleus Gaming, it has a visual edge, as well as various features, ensuring your time on the wrong side of the law is as fun as possible. That being said, don’t go expecting this to be easy – Big Boss won’t tolerate any slackers, and you definitely don’t want to try his patience.

This is as organised as crime can get, only here you’re in the safety of your own home, able to turn off whenever the going gets too tough. What is more, while Big Boss may not always smile upon you, you don’t have to worry about real life shootouts and brawls, a win-win we can all agree. Of course, with this being a crime based theme, you’ll find that the subject matter is very specific, and so if you prefer a more open ended slot, you’re best looking elsewhere.

Just like in some of their other titles, you have instant wins, free games and even a bonus round to deal with, and so you’ll always be kept on your toes. What this does mean though, is that if you’ve played many of Nucleus’s slots in the past, like Seer’s Crystal, you might start to feel some dejavu. However, it probably won’t hinder your experience too much, as the brand goes that extra mile to make all their real cash slots as unique as possible.

In the Money

When it comes to what you stand to win when playing this traditional 3x5 matrix, we have to tell you that it’s quite a lot, that is if you play with the right amount of cash. You see, Nucleus Gaming take the tactic of a few other brands, and expect you to payout more if you want to see bigger returns, which seems pretty fair to us. However, when it comes to accessibility to all users, some budget gamers will run into problems. While the minimum bet is 0.60, the max here is 150 credits, a tall fee.

Even though that’s not a figure we necessarily want to part with, do bear in mind that it could lead to 1,000 credits wins, an amount nobody would turn their noses up at. As for how it impacts on the jackpot total, we can’t say as we played in demo mode and so we can’t be sure it doesn’t alter what you could win. From our experience though, the final payout sum stays the same, which was just 509 credits when we played.

Stick It in Your Slot... Machine

There’s a lot of underlings to work your way through before you get to the Big Boss, but we have a lot of faith in you, and so we’re jumping on ahead and assuming you’ve bagged yourself three boss symbols. Unlike some features, this can be triggered on any of the winlines you have active, meaning getting to the big man shouldn’t be too hard going.

This is where things start to get interactive, as you’re tasked with setting up slot machines in three out of the five establishments shown before you, the aim being to make money. The more money you make for the boss, the better off you’ll be. When we tried it, there doesn’t appear to be a losing result, though some places will reward better outcomes than others. After you’ve placed your machines and collected the winnings, you’ll meet with Big Boss and your total will be given to you.

The Bigger They Are…

Nucleus Gaming doesn’t really have much in the way of competition when it comes to their slots. There are games out there with similar features, but the brand tends to come out on top with its themes and/or gameplay. This, while good for the company, can make it hard for you to seek out similar titles when you’ve exhausted all games from the brand, which is where we come in.

One title we’d recommend is Big Top. The number of winlines is greatly reduced, and not all the features you have experienced here are there, but you have the perk of the mobile compatibility. This is one of the key selling points of Nucleus games, and so finding other titles that allow that freedom is pretty much a must for active gamers. Be warned though, you won’t get the same level of 3D graphics like you do when you play games such as Big Boss.

Feeling Gangster

Big Boss is a great novelty slot machine that delivers a good theme and great gameplay, it’s more dated than some of the newer games from the brand, but not by many years. This is a set of reels that can keep the energy up and coming for many playthroughs, meaning you get a lot more for your bet than a one trick pony. That being said, you have that overriding theme that will put some players off, a fact that a lot of slot machines can’t avoid.
