Dragon Online Slot Machine Review
There are a number of slots featuring Dragons in the crowded casino marketplace, but there are not many that feature dragons as fierce as this one. These dragons are not cute or friendly in any way and you certainly wouldn’t want to meet them in a dark alleyway (especially the dark dragon, as you might actually not see him before he burns you to a crisp).
This Leander slot is great looking, the slot actually drawn by renowned fantasy artist Ciruelo. The reels are framed by an ornate metal border featuring axes and shields and fearsome battle helmets, all set against the backdrop of an ancient castle. The symbols on the reels are more colourful than you might expect, but in a strange way it works perfectly, adding to the professional look and feel. There are six dragon symbols, all of different colours, as well as a scatter symbol (the fearsome battle helmet featured on the border). The accompanying sound at this slot fits the theme perfectly, with very appropriate roars and bold sounds accompanying all wins.
This slot has two feature rounds, one is a free spins round, the other seeing a mighty battle between the white and the red dragon. There are also expanding wilds in the main game, which can add some occasional windfalls.
Set up and Play for Dragon Slot
Aside from the fearsome battles, the evil looking dragons and the high quality setting, this is something of a standard slot, featuring 5 reels and 20 win lines. These win lines can be customized so you’ll play between 1 and 20 (I’d recommend playing about with this just so you can hear the cool sound effect). To gain a win you’ll need to land at least three in a row from left to right on the slot for most symbols, although the top three symbols pay out on just two. These top three symbols are the black, the pale blue and the green dragon and pay out 2,500x, 800x and 300x the coin amount respectively when landing 5 in a row. If you hover the mouse over the symbols you’ll bring up the win amount for that symbol, which is a nice touch.
This slot has an auto play feature, where you can set the slot to run automatically for up to 100 spins (or until the bonus round is landed) whilst you sit back and enjoy the impressive visuals.
There is a yellow dragon wild symbol which will expand to take up an entire reel when landing on the slot (it will only expand if doing so will actually lead to a win).
This slot also features three separate scatter symbols. The first one is the helmet and this is unusual in the fact that it doesn’t actually lead to a feature, simply paying out a cash prize if landing 3, 4 or 5 anywhere on the slot. The free spins and the bonus scatter symbols both activate features when landing three times at the slot (the free spins symbol appears on reels 1, 3 and 5 whilst the bonus symbol appears on reels 2, 3 and 4).
Dragon Slot Features
The free spins round see you start off by selecting a dragon to face your warrior, where you’ll make a decision on how volatile you’d like the round to be. Watch the dragon fight the warrior and if the dragon wins you’ll have the accumulated free spins and multipliers. Should the dragon lose, you’ll gain the standard 10 free spins with no multiplier. During the free spins reel one will remain completely wild.
The other bonus round sees a faceoff between the white dragon and the red dragon. Each one will have a meter beneath the battle and every time the other dragon breathes fire on it, their meter will decrease. You’ll win money every time the white dragon breathes fire, with an extra bonus should the red dragon be vanquished and fall down dead.
Dragon Slot – Conclusion
This slot by Leander is one that ticks almost every box. The graphics are top class and the soundtrack is perfect. This is backed up with some original features, all which get you involved, as well as the small matter of winning you money as you go. The only thing missing is a large jackpot amount, but even this has its advantages as you’ll gain many smaller wins to make up for it.
This is a slot that having played once, you’ll certainly return to play again. A great job by Leander – check it out for yourself soon.
